This is really not the biggest hardship, and I always love finding cheap gems. It's really satisfying to find something incredible for €6 rather than €60 (not that my love for NARS is any less as a result...)
Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer*
Is there anybody who doesn't get on with this product?! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I actually enjoy this concealer more than the Collection Lasting Perfection, because it actually sticks around for longer. The shade selection is really poor, but if you're pale you're more or less sorted with what's on offer. This stuff does not budge, looks incredibly natural and offers extensive coverage that would rival the likes of Dermablend. As I said on Snapchat a while ago (I'm @deirdro on it, say hi!) this has managed to cover zits that even my beloved MAC Pro Longwear couldn't muster.
Catrice Eyebrow Pencil
I think it was Ellen from Waxperts that I saw speaking about this on Snapchat, and I decided to give it a go after I'd used up my Anastasia Brow Wiz and was missing the convenience of a brow pencil for day-to-day. It doesn't have the same waxy quality as the Anastasia, but the shade range is really good and I'm really enjoying how soft and quick to use the pencil is.
Penneys PS Love Lip Crayons
First it was all about their lipliners - but these matte crayons from Penneys have taken over as my new obsession. The formula is light, not very drying but still packed with pigment - just look at my swatch! I find this really comfortable to wear and it lasts very well - these are 100% comparable with the NARS pencils. Doesn't get much better than that for €2.50 - I'll be stockpiling these.
Swatched top to bottom; Catrice concealer, brow pencil, Penneys lip crayon, Flormar powder
This is the Penneys beauty buy that I'm quite sure we've all heard of - stores all over the country have been getting these double-ended brushes in and they've been flying out. I know there's a few variations on the brush types, but this kabuki one is all I've seen so far and I am loving it. It's a great medium size, perfect for the undereye area, and the quality is definitely comparable to the likes of Real Techniques - I really hope they don't stop stocking these any time soon!
Flormar Terracotta Powder*
I was unsure about the golden shade in this compact, but when I swirl both together with a fan brush, this makes for a perfect everyday highlighter. This is no Mary-Loumaniser in terms of intensity but I kind of like that - the shimmer is subtle, natural and healthy-looking. I really like the quality of the baked powder, and it's brilliant value for what is pretty much identical to any of the MAC Mineralise range.
Rimmel Super Curler 24H Mascara*
If this isn't already out, I'm sure it will be quite soon, and it's well worth picking up. I don't love all Rimmel mascaras but this one has been a pleasant surprise - it definitely lifts and curls, and the formula is very black. I usually go for two coats and this stays put on me all day with no issues at all.
