Hydrating Eye Creams

I haven't found my Holy Grail eye cream. Part of the problem is that I don't really know what I'm looking for. I don't suffer with excessive puffiness or deep dark circles or crinkly crepiness. I would like to keep it that way however so, until I find The One, I am focusing on keeping the area hydrated and as nourished as possible.

Clinique All About Eyes: This little tub was a GWP from Debenhams but, it's probably my favourite of the lot. A super lightweight and cooling gel, I can instantly feel the skin around my eyes drink this up. Would definitely purchase the full size. Perfect for: using under concealer.

Benefit Puff Off*: An incoming launch from Benefit, the premise is sweet - a salmon-tinted gel that you "iron" to reduce puffiness and the appearance of darkness. I like this well enough. It's not as hydrating as the Clinique and I'm not the best judge of whether it does take down puffiness but, it does smooth and moisturise the area thanks to the presence of a few 'cones in the ingredients list. Perfect for: eyes that are noticeably tired.

Indeed Labs Eysilix: I've spoken about this eye cream before and, while nice, it never blew me away. It's as basic as they come for hydrating the undereyes - no bells and whistles (or irons!) and probably a bit more accessible than the aforementioned. Perfect for: those who just need a little help.

La Roche-Posay Redermic R Eyes*: The most heavy duty of the lot thanks to the inclusion of Retinol and caffeine for targeted wrinkle prevention, reduction and heightened moisturisation. You will require an SPF if you use this as Retinol makes the skin more susceptible to the sun's rays. Perfect for: those keen on preventative aging or noticing the beginnings of fine lines.

  1. I just recently picked up the Bobbi Brown 'Hydrating Eye Cream' and am in love! It's uber hydrating and not at all heavy or greasy :)

  2. I love that Clinique cream as well
