Take 3: Cleansers

2014 was the year I became obsessed with skincare. Sure, I was always into skincare but, last year was when I developed routines and developed a real love taking the time to care for my skin. I discovered three cleansers over the course of the year that are just incredible and I thought I would round them up for you today. There is one here for every skin requirement and every budget.

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser: The cheapest of the bunch at €12.95, this cream cleanser is incredibly gentle and suitable for all skin types. I don't find it brilliant for removing make-up so, I use it as my morning cleanser to clean away the grime of sleep and also remove any residue from the products I use at night. It doesn't strip the skin and leaves it feeling nicely soft and clean. You can often get it on offer with a Boot No7 voucher.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel: This is a newer addition to the line-up and it's an absolutely beautiful gel cleanser. I find myself reaching for this most on days when I feel like my skin has been suffering; whether from external aggressors or too much make-up. It's incredibly effective at removing all manners of make-up but, it's equally soothing and comforting to ravaged skin. I highly recommend this, 100%.

Eve Lom Cleanser: This stuff is Holy Grail for me. I knew about this cleanser long before I really cared - it just has the kind of reputation that transcends. It is a very thick, soft balm that has light granules so, exfoliates while also cleansing. It smells incredible and is ever so effective at removing every scrap of make-up as well as deep cleaning the skin. The oils in the balm leave skin feeling nourished and revitalised. In all honesty, it is ridiculously expensive and when I received my first pot as a gift from Kev's mam, my heart almost sank as I knew I would fall in love with it and forever be broke trying to restock it. Kev though, bless his heart, knew how much I loved it and sourced a whopping 500g tub as part of my present for our 10 year anniversary so, I'm set for a while now. With free shipping here.

  1. Thanks for the review, I'm always at a loss as to what to pick up with the No7 vouchers! They're out at the moment, so I might pick that up.

  2. Have you tried the No7 melting cleansing gel? It's similar to the oskia renaissance gel, but a fraction of the cost!
