2015: What We're Excited for

So, we've rang out 2014 and are now looking straight into a new year. Neither of us are too hot on resolutions or anything of the like - but new beauty launches never fail to excite and delight! Read on for our top picks for 2015...

We're both foundation fiends, and thought that we definitely didn't need another one - until news came of this launch. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is out around February and is billed as a medium-to-full coverage base that delivers a perfect finish in just one pump. Are you sold? We're sold.

A new palette from NARS is always huge news, and this one in particular looks sublime. The NARSissist Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette is made up of eight shades of the Dual Intensity shadows, which were one of the brand's biggest launches of 2014. These shadows seriously have to be seen (and swatched!) to be believed. They are quite expensive (€27) to buy individually, so this palette may well be the most, ahem, economical way to go! We're not 100% when this is out but, the best thing to do is keep an eye on narscosmetics.eu.

Surprise surprise, another palette also has us quite hot under the collar. Smashbox's Double Exposure palette is the sequel to the much-talked-about Full Exposure palette. Full Exposure didn't overly excite either of us, but the warm tones of this new release are the exact shades we both tend to gravitate towards, so here's hoping it's second time lucky!

The new Real Techniques brushes - aka the Bold Metals collection - have caused quite a stir online. While we are both excited to get a look at these in person (we're reliably informed that they're in Liffey Valley Boots already!). the price points aren't quite what we're used to seeing from Real Techniques. The brushes kicked up quite a bit of discussion over on our Facebook page - because they're so dear, I think we'll be waiting for reviews before investing.

The lip oil trend is something we've been hearing whisperings about for quite a while now. The first product of this kind was the Hourglass Lip No28 Oil, a hydrating treatment, and now Clarins have come out with their own version in a few different shades for daytime. Both myself and Sinéad love the red one, purely for the fact that it smells like Calpol! These will be out soon with the Clarins Garden Escape Spring collection. Oh, and Escentual is always a good bet for scoring Clarins products at a good price online!

Speaking of which, La Roche-Posay Serozinc is now finally available on Escentual. Previously, the only way to get it was on eBay or Amazon, which meant paying quite a bit over the normal price. Thankfully, it's now on sale here for a decent £8.50. Psst - if you use the code ESCSENTUAL2015, there's 20% off until the 12th of January!

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is one of our all-time favourite makeup removers, and the Oil version seems to be a fairly new (or perhaps relaunched?) addition to the lineup. Reviews seem quite positive so, we're both excited to give it a go - and it's currently 10% off here!
