If you've read this post, you'll know the story behind this duo. If you haven't, in short, I ordered the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial from SpaceNK, used it once and was so impressed that I bought the Morning Facial the very next day. Totally out of character for me but, happily I have zero regrets.
Let's talk about the Overnight Facial first as that's what started it all. As the name would suggest, this is intended to be used overnight as a potent facial treatment. It's quite a heavy oil that contains a combination of antioxidants, vitamins, anti-inflammatory omega oils, firming dermaxyl peptide, and brighteners, to quote the SpaceNK blurb! The first thing you notice is the heavenly scent, a mix of jasmine, frangipani, tuberose and rose although it is the frangipani that really stands out to me and I always feel my whole body relaxing after I've massaged this in and inhaled the scent - perfect for bedtime.
One pump is more than enough for the face and neck area and because it is such a nourishing serum/oil hybrid, it takes forever to soak in. However, come morning, you will wake up with the most alive looking face - no matter how tired you are! I find that the skin around my mouth, nose and laughter lines-area in particular looks very full and taut and my face as a whole looks smooth and supple. It truly is a wonder product.
The Morning Facial is a lighter version of the same. It is designed to work in tandem with the Overnight, paying particular attention to delivering longlasting hydration and plumping. The active ingredients are strong enough to protect the skin from daily aggressors like pollution and toxins which, in turn, improves the overall appearance of the skin.
Because this sits under make-up, it is designed to soak-in a lot more rapidly than the Overnight. However, I find that a full pump leaves a film so, I have started to stop just short of pressing the dispenser fully and that gives the ideal amount of serum. While I don't follow-up with a moisturiser after the Overnight, I do use a high SPF, light moisturiser post-Morning, pre-foundation as it doesn't contain added SPF.
While I like both, my pick would be the Overnight Facial as it delivers a lot more in the way of results and negates the need for a secondary moisturiser. These retail for £45 on the SpaceNK website or €51 in-store which isn't too shabby of a conversion. You can checkout the brand here - I have my eye on the Ultimate Cleanser!
