And then, last night, beaten down and weary after the long week, I clicked into the sale again. Just to look. Famous last words. The only thing that stopped me buying the peplum dress below was a well-timed WiFi issue (props to UPC for that one - yet again) but, I did catch sight of a few sweet deals on my way to the checkout and wanted to share my picks with you.
I'm a fiend for outerwear; blazer, leather, biker, bomber, trench, parka, coat, you name it, I have it and this red-orange Sister Jane wool moto jacket had me drooling. The fact that it's woolen means it does actually double as both a jacket and a coat so, saving money there people, and the slightly oversized fit is very much on-trend.
Because I like to like to make a statement with what's on the outside, I tend to keep things basic underneath. Generally that means dresses for work and loose knits that can be easily layered for day wear. While not work-appropriate, I loved the look of the navy blue peplum dress for Christmas/New Years - paired with some sky high court shoes for ultimate oomph! I'm not usually one for slogan jumpers but, I'm totally coveting the Zoe Karssen Belle Heir sweater for a warmer jeans n' tee type vibe. A good sight cheaper and more my usual speed is this blue, oversized thin knit from Glamorous. I have a few of these in other colours and they are slouchy, comfy perfection.
I have a black ankle boot problem (ref: 7am breakfast shop-a-thon above) and I would easily buy all of these if I was confident my family wouldn't have me committed. I ordered the leather Road Rage boot after having my eye on them for months and the suede Excite Me boots very nearly came home with me too. Actually, now that I look at them, I'm kind of seeing those killer Aldo leather ones pairing nicely with that peplum dress...dare I?!
