I know, I know 'autumn' not 'fall' but, I liked the alliteration! There is a story behind this post as it is, for those who may have been here since the beginning, a rehash of a post from 2011. You see, about two weeks ago, I came across my little-used Google+ profile and noticed that there were over 1,200 photos just lying there. So, I tried to put them into an album, the site froze and when it came back, the photos were no more. Yes, over 1,200 blog photos had just upped and left so, a large majority of posts on this site have dead image links. I'm working to fix them but, I have no hope in finding pictures from four years ago so, I decided to do an updated version of some of the more popular posts and this one, on five of my favourite red nail polishes, was right up there.
Sally Hansen Red Zin is my all-time favourite red nail polish. It is the most perfect deep burgundy red in an amazing cream formula that is eternally flattering on the fingers. A must-have for any collection. Essie Twin Sweater Set* is from autumn 2013 and is like Red Zin's brighter, more peppy cousin. Again, this is a great shade that suits all though I find that it really sings when I have a touch of fake tan on. Max Factor Radiant Ruby* is part of the new Gel Shine Lacquer range. This is an incredible high-shine, long lasting polish formula but, it's this, quite unique, pinked-up wine red that grabbed my attention as it really brightens up the hands. Formula X in Pyrotechnic is unfortunately exclusive to Sephora but, if you can get your hands on it; do. It is an absolutely true, blue-based fire engine red that is super eye-catching. Finally, a little bit fancy, YSL Piment D'Ailleurs is a brown-based red that probably wouldn't grab you initially but, is incredibly chic on the nails.
What's your favourite autumnal red?
