Escentual.com French Pharma Sale - Our Picks

Even new readers to the blog will be aware of how much Dee and I love and rate French skincare brands. There is something so basic, so simple, so conscientious, so unfussy about the way in which the French approach skincare that really appeals to us and, better yet, the vast majority of brands are mid-price and widely available. Well, at least in France!

Happily though, Escentual.com stocks a lot of hard to find brands and products (Hello, Bioderma, anyone?!) and we take frequent advantage of their French pharma brand events when they happen. Now, I was doing some Christmas shopping online last night and ordered...some old favourites for someone, let's just say in case they read this - and saw that the current Escentual French Pharma (up to 30% off) sale was coming to an end on Friday so, we put our heads together and came up with six of our top picks from the sale in case you want to stock up, try out or, as I was doing, prep for Christmas with a decent discount!

NUXE Reve de Miel: This is one of the products I was stocking up on, both for myself and "someone" and it's probably my most frequently repurchased beauty item ever. There is no other lip balm that compares to this; it's thick, nourishing and provides a great, matte base for lipstick. Cannot live without.

La Roche-Posay Redermic R: We both have a lot of love for this little tube. The key ingredient is retinol which is known for its anti-aging properties as well as its fast-action on breakouts. Not only does this clear and help keep spots at bay but, it also gives skin a plumpness and feeling of hydration that is usually reserved for serums.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+: Another gem from LRP and this time it's their super effective acne treatment. Niacinamide works on inflammation while Salicylic Acid exfoliates the skin, reducing the appearance of scarring and marks. A must-have, even for those who have rare breakouts.

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Intense Legere: We have both gone through numerous tubes of this stuff. Not only is it super light and perfect for under make-up but, it also contains the ever-important SPF that one should not be without - especially when using either of the previous two products!

Bioderma Micelle Solution: This one will be no stranger to any of you but, as I have said before, it has something of a questionable cult status. However, it is so very highly talked up and highly sought after so, I wanted to include it in here in case you've always wanted to try it but, didn't have any trips to France planned!

Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum: An absolutely stunningly beautiful rehydrating serum. If you find that your skin lacks moisture and tends to look pretty drab during the winter months, I highly recommend checking this out. It strikes the perfect balance between light and nourishing and is ideal for both day and night.
