Travel Skincare Edit

Some of my favourite blog posts to read are those travel essentials ones where you really get to see what people rate and can't live without when they go away. I have done a make-up essentials one every summer for the past few years and they are so handy to look back on when I'm packing again, mainly to jog my memory of what I brought and what I didn't need. I'll be doing another of those next week but, I thought I would also add a little snapshot of what skincare I am bringing into the mix this year as I'm having a total love-in with lotions and potions at the moment!

Ultimately, I want to use my two week holiday to give my skin a break. For me, that means keeping it hydrated, gently exfoliated and as makeup free as possible. To remove all makeup, pre-cleansing, I'm packing some of the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil, decanted into a Muji pump bottle. This is brilliant at dissolving the initial heavy layer of makeup and also works on waterproof which is very important for me.

To cleanse, I'm bringing a small tub of the 2B Organic Cleansing Balm which I blogged about here. I love how soothing yet effective this is at cleaning the skin and I actually siphoned off this little pot's worth nearly two months ago as I was worried I would run out before my trip! A few face cloths will accompany this little beauty.

I wasn't sure whether to bring a toner/exfoliator. However, I figured my skin could get quite congested from the aircon so, a gentle combination product would work well at keeping my skin smooth and clear. I decanted some of of the Pixi Glow Tonic into a Muji bottle and have a rake of cotton pads to apply it with!

I'm forsaking serum for the two weeks as both that I use are in heavy glass bottles. Instead, I am packing a tube of Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream for evenings as its brilliant under make-up and also for pre-bedtime and, for (hopefully) sunsoaked days, I will be using my Ultrasun SPF30 Face to moisturise and protect.

I recently picked up the No7 Silky Leg Oil using a voucher so, I've put a little of that into a Muji spray bottle as I figure I will be wearing a lot of dresses and, with some faux glow, it might make me have Beyoncé legs...maybe!

I've thrown in the Kiehl's Blue Herbal Spot Treatment and the Indeed Labs Eysilix just in case and, finally, a new jar of my beloved NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm rounds out what I think is a pretty concise, well-edited skincare pack for a two-week break! And look, it all fits into this nifty little Muji bag!
