Skincare Favourites: Throwback Edition

I'm on a bit of a skincare high at the moment, and it's not all induced by shiny new releases. Although I do have a few new skincare favourites (such as the excellent spot treatment I blogged about yesterday), I've also worked a few long-running favourites into my current routine.  Let the throwback commence!

I think this was released about two years ago now? Hard to believe how time has flown. This is an excellent multi-purpose product that doubles up as a light moisturiser and a primer that sits beautifully under foundation.

I've been able to get through some of my slightly greasier facial sunscreens by applying a thin layer of this on top - it also definitely helps to prolong the wear time of some foundations like YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat. Brilliant stuff - although I do prefer the Bioderma version ever so slightly, they are essentially the same product.

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate*

Who remembers when Liz Earle was the queen of skincare?! You weren't a beauty blogger in 2011 unless you'd blogged about her famed Cleanse & Polish.

I've heard rumblings about changes being made to the formulation of Liz Earle products recently, and I really hope that they haven't meddled with the make-up of this one. It's something that I've returned to many times over the last couple of years, especially when my skin is rough, irritated or chapped. It leaves my skin hydrated and balanced; I've been working it into my routine far more than usual of late (initially just to use it up), and my skin has been drinking it up. It's also been my oil of choice for the Caroline Hirons method that I spoke about in this post.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream*

This is a bit of a cheat as Vichy have recently re-released their Aqualia Thermal range. However, their Light Cream really is a long-term love of mine as it was all I used throughout my final two years of secondary school. It's just a really reliable moisturiser that suits a broad range of skin types and sits very well under foundation. If you're looking for a new moisturiser, you won't go far wrong with this one, and I've really enjoyed using it at night, too.
