It's been a few months since I've done a My Face post so, I figured I would update you on what products I've been loving, new and old, recently!
As with the bronze look I posted last week, I'm currently favouring softer, easy make-up. Less about contouring and eyeshadow and more about light and natural application. After shunning foundation for a few weeks, I rediscovered the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet. I don't think I've spoken about this foundation on the blog before but, it's beautiful; a mid-coverage base that gives a soft focus finish and, as the name would suggest, manages to look luminescent and velvety all at once. Despite having skin that tends towards dry rather than oily, this foundation works perfectly.
This is also my first attempt at winged liner using the Stila Stay All Day eyeliner I mentioned I my Beauty Shopping post earlier this week. I don't think it's too bad! However, I do have quite hooded (read: fatty) upper eyelids so, I still need to figure out the best placement of the wing and how thick I can make the liner without it disappearing into the folds of my eye. #eyelinerissues
Lips are the Hourglass Femme Nude Stylo in #6, paired with NYX Lip Liner in Nude Beige. Good combo but, I think I want MAC Soar to pair with this lippie. The blush is actually a beauty box find and it's the So Susan Universal Blush. Kind of like NARS Orgasm but, a lot more subdued, it's a nice hybrid neutral-peach-pink-gold blush for summer.
Rest of face: Nip + Fab CC Eye Fix*, NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Pressed Powder and Eyeko Black Magic Mascara*.
