No7 Gel-Look Shine Nail Colours

I've just come off the back of not painting my nails for 7 or 8 weeks. No reason why, I just wasn't arsed! However, the better weather and the healthy (faux) glow I am sporting made me want to break out the bright colours and, with the help of these new No7 Gel-Look Shine Nail Colours* (€9.00), I am firmly back on the nail painting bandwagon again!

The two shades I have are Orange Spice and Lemon Drop which are new and limited edition, respectively. Orange Spice is a coral-peach, definitely more pastel than neon, while Lemon Drop is a true, bright lemon yellow.

Now, I love gel-look formulas; Barry M and Formula X specifically, as I like how instantly "done" your nails look. These No7 ones are really quite nice - very shiny with a wide brush that allows you to get the whole nail in one fell swoop.

No7 say these have patented technology so that the polish is flexible and less likely to chip. Not so. I get maybe 1-2 days max out of an application but, that suits me as I like to re-paint regularly. Below is a picture of one coat of Orange Spice - impressive coverage, no?

  1. Love Orange Spice! Was going to pick it up but it looks very similar to my Barry M Papaya ;) It looks incredible for one coat though!!
