Beauty Shopping

It's been awhile since I have done any kind of beauty shopping and then, all in one week, I make a few different purchases! They are good ones though, some quite practical, and I'm very impressed so far with what I picked up. Firstly, there was a trip to the new Space NK...

It would be rude to pay a visit to the Irish flagship store and not make a purchase, wouldn't it? Frankly, it's impressive I just came out of there with one thing and not half the shop! However, what I did pick up is what I have been searching for - the perfect nude lip. I'm fussy in that I don't like nudey-nudes and I don't like browny nudes, I like kind of a mix between a coral nude and a mauve nude and that, as is probably obvious by how specfic it is, is not an easy thing to find! However, the Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in #6 is absolutely spot on. At around the €27 mark, this little lip crayon is not exactly cheap but, as with everything Hourglass, it is high quality; beautiful formula, non-drying, well-wearing and, for The Perfect Nude, I am happy to shell out.

Earlier this week Cult Beauty celebrated 6 years with 15% off everything. I hadn't ordered from there before but, was keen to get my hands on a facial SPF for my holidays. Of course, I picked that up but, managed to find a few other things on the way to the checkout! Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner came highly recommended from Dee and she assured me that even an eyeliner moron like myself would achieve some semblance of a flick with this. She wasn't wrong and I am getting better with each use (it also helps now that I can see my eyes - thank you laser!). Super black and unbudgable - highly recommend.

Like I mentioned, I went in looking for a facial SPF for holiday and found that in the Ultrasun SPF30 Face. Ultrasun is a brand that Kev's mam swears by and we've already picked up two huge 500ml bottles of the waterproof SPF for holidays that I thought I couldn't go wrong with the matching one for holidays. I also threw in the Ultrasun Ultralip SPF30 for free shipping!

Finally, I caved and bought the Blendercleanser Solid by Beauty Blender which is supposed to be a great, easy way to clean make-up brushes and sponges. I haven't tried it yet but, I've heard great things so, I'll report back on that one!

I'd love to hear if you picked up anything nice lately!

  2. I haven't tried the Hourglass lippies, but iloe their bludhes and lighting face powders.
