In a couple of recent posts, I'd made a bit of a shocking confession - as much as I love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, I would pretty much equate it to the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, and on many occasions, especially when I am spotty or red, I definitely prefer the Collection concealer, because I actually find it to be a little creamier and less drying and the shade is spot-on for me.
Cray-cray, right?! Not really. They're both fab and I can see myself using both in rotation for a long time to come - I suppose my point is that while the NARS is fantastic, there are definitely other concealers of a similar quality out there for far less money, so don't sweat if NARS isn't within your price range. I've gotten back into affordable concealers in a big way after trying Seventeen Phwoarr Paint, and next on my hitlist was the Maybelline FIT Me Concealer.
I think this is excellent stuff for the price, and probably the closest thing to my beloved Clarins Instant Concealer that I've found in Boots. It's not quite as thin and moisturising, but is an excellent non-drying concealer for undereyes and redness nonetheless. Again, the shade is great for my paloe self and it colour corrects very well. I don't find myself reaching for anything else when I use this under my eyes, and it sits very well on my (temperamental) skin. I wouldn't use this on blemishes as it's a little bit illuminating and brightening so, naturally would just draw further attention to any spots and bumps.
In terms of application, I like to dab it on (extremely liberally) and buff in with the Real Techniques Setting Brush or else their Contour Brush - I find both brilliant for getting in and around the undereye area. This concealer is also a great one to throw in your bag if you find that your skin gets a bit dull-looking as the day goes on - if you've time for touch-ups, this is a great quick fix.
