Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Review

It's been awhile since I wrote about a mascara which is strange as it's my "desert island" make-up product and I always have a new one on-the-go. After finishing my beloved L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, I decided to try the new Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara* (€12.99) which is due out mid-May.

The wand is the selling point of this mascara as it has been modelled after salon-grade round hair brushes. Bourjois maintain that by creating this type of brush with both straight bristles and "wraparound spheres", the mascara will brush onto lashes, coating each hair entirely and defining it to give maximum volume.

As I mentioned, I like to think I know my mascara and, to be honest, this is not what I would consider a volumising effect. It's definitely more of an everyday, natural-look lash but, that's not to say I don't like it for what it is. I do quite like how it makes my lashes look and I have been using it everyday for almost three weeks now. However, I think if someone were to buy this hoping for volumised lashes in one second flat, they would be sorely disappointed!
