This Week... #2

After returning from a great trip last week, this one has been fairly uneventful IRL for me. I'm working away on my thesis and, if I am honest, struggling to keep up with everything else; the blog, videos, my inbox and my personal social life have all taken a bit of a back seat. I've also been sad about turning down a lot of invites to events and so on - I don't usually have a lot of time to go to most of them anyway but, it's just that bit more difficult at the moment! Despite all of this I do have a few nice things to share from the last week or so, so let's get cracking!

1. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet... It's no secret that I am obsessed with foundation, but I don't think I have ever been so excited about a new release without so much as swatching it. It's a liquid-to-powder, natural-finish formula; I'm thinking Vitalumiere Aqua for oily skin. Dubai-based beauty blogger Hudabeauty's rave review has me chomping at the bit for it to arrive here!

2. Beyoncé's Makeup Artist... Nope, this is not a drill! This interview with Beyonce's make-up artist, Francesca Tolot (who has been with her since Crazy in Love) is an absolute must-read for any fan and kind of made my week.

3. Lip Gloss... I was honestly afraid that some of you might think I was lying and bigging up the products for the sake of it when I proclaimed my new-found love for lipgloss in this post about Bobbi Brown's Nectar and Nude collection. I am sure many of you are a bit sick of hearing about the collection as it is all over the blogosphere right now but, here is further proof that I really am loving that lipgloss! I have Nectar on in this picture, teamed with my favourite lipliner, Catrice's 'I Got You, Babe!'

4. Edinburgh... Again, I will shut up after this post but I really enjoyed our trip to Edinburgh and am still smiling just thinking about it. Dinner at the Witchery was really amazing and something I will definitely remember for a long time, so definitely check it out if you go! My full post about beauty shopping in Edinburgh is here.

5. Festivals... I am not one for rigorous planning or anything but the gradual trickling out of line-ups for this summer's festivals here in Ireland definitely has me looking forward to the summer. I've already got tickets to Arctic Monkeys in Marlay Park but in an ideal world, I would love to make it to the Saturday of Longitude as it's the day after my birthday, and maybe Electric Picnic as well!
