Garnier Oil Beauty

I'm very particular about what body products I use as my skin is quite sensitive and I don't like overly scented stuff. So, when this Garnier Oil Beauty* duo arrived, I wasn't too enthused about the idea of trying it as budget body care brands don't always have the best ingredients and they tend to be quite heavily scented. However, after casting my eye over the back of the bottle, I figured they seemed pretty alright and once I smelled them I was sold. These, ladies and gentlemen, smell like Tom Ford Violet Blonde, my all-time favourite perfumes.

The two products, the Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Lotion* (€7.69/€10.75) and the Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Scrub* (€10.99) are the brands first oil-infused body care products. Each contains a mix a four oils; Argan, Macadamia, Almond and Rose, for the ultimate in silky smooth skin. The ingredients also include essential fatty acids which help to maintain the skin's barrier function, preventing skin from going dry and flaky.

After the cold winter we've have, my skin was in dire need of a serious scrubbing and shot of hydration so, I've been using these every time I shower and, so far, they have been helping. It's definitely a gentle approach to achieving smooth and soft skin (as opposed to the gravelly exfoliators and tar-like body lotions I generally use!) but, it does seem to be working and even the slight 'chicken skin' (KP) texture that was creeping back onto my upper arms after months of neglect has drastically improved. I think the star of the two, however, is the body lotion. It is so light and non-greasy that is soaks in very quickly and, of course, that incredible scent lingers all day long which is just amazing (and a damn sight cheaper than the perfume!). Two thumbs up from me!

  1. I'm a sucker for sweet scents. My fave body moisturiser is the Soap and Glory Body Buttercream. Smells so delicious, I wanna go town on it with a spoon haha! This seems like it would be right up my street too. Anything with almond in it and I'm usually sold! Mmmmmmmmmmmm :)
