That being said, I won't be feeling so positive when my alarm rudely wakes me up tomorrow so, I thought I would ease back into things with a look at some stuff I have my eye on after watching approximately 726 Christmas haul videos!
1. IKEA Malm // 2. Frends Taylor Rose Gold Headphones // 3. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita // 4. NARS Daydream // 5. Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray/Apres Beach Spray/Dry Thickening Spray
Despite my studying days ending over two years ago, my room has never really been updated since it was first decorated during my schooldays. Over the next month or so, I want to give it a bit of a face lift and make it much calmer, cleaner and sleek around the edges. I've already set the wheels in motion with a lick of bright white paint and I'm hoping to trade my huge corner desk, once stuffed to the brim with books and papers, for the gorgeous IKEA Malm. This simple white desk has become a firm favourite of beauty lovers due to its huge drawer - perfect for hiding our bad habit! Update! I actually bought this desk yesterday. If you'd like to see a post on storage etc, do let me know!
I watch a lot of YouTube videos and Netflix on my iPad while Kev or my sisters are watching TV and I would love a pair of noise cancelling headphones to block out whatever else is going on around me. These rose gold headphones from Frends are super chic but, entirely impractical and pointless considering I would only wear them at home. So, in short, I have no idea what is best (I don't want Beats!) so, any suggestions are welcome.
I'm having a bit of a moment with NARS at the moment which is a first for me. I recently bought the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella (more on that later this week!) and have my eye on the gorgeous Dolce Vita for a more natural look. I think the blush in Daydream was a repromote from the recent Guy Bourdin collection so, it's been hard to find of late. However, ever since Dee linked me to an article that listed it as Nigella Lawson's (AKA Giver of the Best Court Face Ever!) blush of choice, it's been on my list.
Call me a cynic but, when YouTuber and bloggers start suddenly banging on about the same product all at the same time, I regard it with a suspiciously raised eyebrow. However, when real life folk tell me it's good, I'm all ears. Sarah, who has found her blogging feet again YAY, has been raving to me about the combination that is Oribe Maximista, Apres Beach and Dry Thickening Sprays for giving big, voluminous, textured hair. These are not cheap products by any means so I am trying to put off buying them for as long as is possible but, resistance, as they say, is futile!
