What I'm Wearing: January

This month has been a great one for make-up and I. I've found some brilliant new products, and teaming them with a few other firm favourites has resulted in me being pretty damn satisfied with my look most days. My skin is finally clearing (La Roche-Posay Redermic R worked miracles within a week - full review pending!), and I'm feeling so much better (and eager to play with make-up!) as a result. Below is a full list of what I'm wearing, and keep reading for a further low-down on some of the products!

Smashbox Photo Finish Colour Correcting Primer*
Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation - Warm Almond 45
MAC Studio Finish Concealer - NW15
Clarins Instant Concealer - 01*
Chanel Les Beiges (10)
MAC Pro Longwear Blush - Baby Don't Go
TheBalm FratBoy Blush
TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer

Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow
MAC Paint Pot - Soft Ochre
Laura Mercier Artist's Palette for Eyes (Vanilla Nuts, Fresco & Truffle)
Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara
Rimmel Scandaleyes Pencil - 005 Nude

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - Damned

I'm back to obsessing over my base products. The Colour Correcting Primer* from Smashbox is great for toning down any redness in my skin, and I'm loving the new squeezy tube. I've also returned to an old favourite concealer of mine - MAC Studio Finish in NW15. When I went to purchase this, they were actually out of stock but the guy serving me was kind enough to give me an extremely generous sample to tide me over - so generous that I  really don't see myself running out any time soon!

I can't go any further in this post without talking about what has to be my new favourite foundation. Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation is the European version of CoverGirl Outlast, which you will have probably heard a lot of Americans raving about if you watch YouTube beauty videos. I'm gonna say it - this is one of the best (if not the best) long-wearing foundations I have ever used. If your skin is very dry you probably won't like it, but if you're after a long-wearing foundation with good coverage, look no further. I love this more every time I use it and will probably buy it again as soon as I run out! Just in case that wasn't enough raving, further endorsement comes from our friend Jenny, who describes it as a "face transplant" in a bottle. Excellent stuff.

The NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil obsession continues. This is hands-down the most beautiful formula I've used, so I was bound to try another shade after the (ongoing) love affair with Cruella. This is Damned - a wine-y  berry-reddish colour with a hint of mauve. I've actually wanted this for the longest time - I remember trying to find it in Belfast but Space NK were out of stock. I have no colour like this in my collection and just adore it. A small amount of it actually meshes very well with my natural lip colour for day, and an extra layer darkens things up for night. If you love lipstick, make one of these your next purchase. I'm already eyeing up Dragon Girl...!
