NUXE Prodigieux Le Parfum* (say it ~prodi-jou~) has been a long time coming, and, I think, will be a scent that fans of the brand will embrace for its warming familiarity. Before I get into notes and the rest of it, I feel that the best way to describe this scent is that it is, quite simply, the aroma of a whole bunch of NUXE products blended together. If you've used their Huile Prodigieuse and Crème Prodigieuse skincare line, just imagine those scents combined into a mild, inoffensive spray.
Out from the 13th of February priced at €48.50, Prodigieux is quite a summery scent, but not so much that you couldn't wear it at any other time of year. The summery coconut in it reminded me of Estée Lauder's Bronze Goddess, but this is a touch more floral due to the magnolia and orange blossom notes. Overall, though, I feel like this is mostly a reproduction of the scent of Huile Prodigeuse with a touch more white, creamy floral notes, which makes it more wearable. I absolutely love it and I feel like it'll carry me right up to the summertime, when I can start wearing my beloved Bronze Goddess again!
I've already mentioned that despite its compexity, this is an inoffensive scent that I would wear for pretty much any occasion. Although it's called Le Parfum, this wears more like a high-quality eau de toilette on me, but that's not a bad thing. It's just perfect for everyday, and the design and size of the bottle means that this is one of very few perfumes that I am okay with throwing into my handbag on my way out the door. The 50ml size also means that I'm not so adverse to putting on a little more during the day!
NUXE Prodigieux Le Parfum is €48.80 for 50ml, available in Arnotts from 13th February and pharmacies from 3rd March.
