Current Haircare Favourites

I go through phases with my shampoos and quite often just rely on whatever is in the house as long as it's not going to strip colour out of my hair. I prefer shampoos and conditioners for dry or coloured hair, and usually stick to Dove, L'Oréal and Herbal Essences, or Kérastase or Redken if I'm lucky! I'm really happy with what I've been using on my hair recently, and seeing as most of it is pretty affordable, I thought it'd be a good time to do a quick run-down.

For shampoo and conditioner, I've really, really been enjoying this Ever Riche duo (€7.99 each) from L'Óréal. These two have gotten plenty of hype from bloggers and YouTubers recently, and seeing as I already enjoy the shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair from this line, I was fairly sure I'd like these too. I have to say, this is probably the best quality 'drugstore' haircare line I've ever used. I'm not hugely fussy when it comes to no-sulphates, but when I do use sulphate-free haircare like this I do find that my hair agrees with it, and my scalp too; if you have a sensitive or flaky scalp but, like me, veer away from the likes of Head & Shoulders due to coloured hair, I feel like these are a great alternative. They are really nourishing and left my hair clean, strong, shiny and moisturised without being overly soft or frizzy. Brilliant stuff, and my hair hasn't gotten 'used' to these yet either, which happens all too frequently!

Since I had a few inches off my hair, I've been using a lot more hairspray and styling products than usual, and I've found the Ojon Full Detox Detoxifying Shampoo* (€24) really handy to use every week and a half or so to lift any debris out of my hair and give it a really deep clean. It cleanses really effectively without stripping my hair or leaving it unmanageable. I don't always use these kind of build-up removal shampoos but after using this one, I am going to do my best to keep a deep cleanse as part of my haircare routine. For a shampoo, the price of this is pretty prohibitive, though, so if I'm honest I'll be looking for a cheaper alternative after I'm finished with this!

For a deep conditioning treatment, the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Express Treatment Conditioner (€4.59) has been a long-term favourite of mine. Every time I get this again, I wonder why I didn't repurchase sooner - it's just the bomb for softening, nourishing and generally looking after your hair if it's dry or thick like mine is. You only need to leave it in for a minute or so, and every time I use it my hair thanks me. One of the best (and cheapest) treatments I've ever used!
