Last week I introduced you to the new Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots and today we're going to look at the Wild Shadow Pencils* (RRP €7.49) from the same collection. Available in eight shades, these pencils can be used as both eyeliners and eyeshadows (and I also find them great as a base!).
The colour palette here isn't as extreme as the Shadow Pots; no neons! There is a questionable icy blue shimmery shade which I wouldn't personally like but, I'm really impressed overall with the shade selection, especially the bronze; Caramel Rage, and the navy blue; Bold Sapphire. Both of these colours make an instant smokey eye which is great if you are in a rush.
For a drugstore product, the formula of these are really special. It is a gel formula that is cool to the touch and blends beautifully. However, unlike most gel-based cream products, it sets and doesn't crease, also making it a great base for powder eyeshadow.
These are a great budget option for expanding your make-up collection and getting some really great quality cream shadows that have a multitude of uses. Personally, I would steer clear of some of the paler, shimmery shades as I feel like they look cheap but, the rest are pretty much spot on!
