Kérastase Powder Bluff
I've stated a couple of times now that I am not an avid user of dry shampoo. Of course, I always have some on standby for emergencies, but my scalp is quite sensitive so, regular use of dry shampoo or volumising powders only serves to aggravate it. The fact that my hair is extremely dark and shows up a white cast all too easily also makes me refrain from using the stuff - unless it's totally necessary!
Kérastase Powder Bluff* (€27), sounded like the answer to my prayers; it claims to deliver freshness and texture to the hair with no white residue. I can say that I've really enjoyed using this - I had a bit of an unexpected chop in the hairdressers a couple of weeks back and have kind of had to learn how to style my hair all over again, as the cut is so different. It doesn't hold a curl or wave as well any more, which is where a light misting of this product for volume and texture have helped an awful lot, and with a quick spritz, there really is no visible residue.
I've also used it the standard way as a dry shampoo, and there was a bit of a white cast when using that bit more, but nothing a quick going-over with the hairbrush couldn't fix. It did freshen my hair but, like many products of this type, too much could easily make your hair look worse if you're not careful! I feel like the texture of this was a lot finer and less detectable than anything I'd used before. €27 is a very hefty amount to pay for what I'd class as a basic kind of product, though, so I can't say I'll be replacing this out of my own purse, and would only recommend this to those who want to splash the cash!
