Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Renewing Rose Cleanser
Cleansing my face has genuinely become one of my favourite parts of the day, and it's always a pleasure to come across a new cleanser that works well and feels good on the skin. I've been trialling a couple of cleansers since using up the Clinique Cleansing Balm (which I loved), and this one from from Aromatherapy Associates (€30 on FeelUnique) has become a firm favourite.
Now, let's get the obvious out of the way first. This is a hydrating cleanser and I don't, by any stretch of the imagination, have a dry skin type. My skin can be very dehydrated, though, and when it comes to taking off make-up, I am looking for a conforting, creamy or balm-y formula that will get my make-up off effectively without leaving my skin feeling stripped or uncomfortable.
In that sense, this creamy cleanser is right up my alley. It's really just very nice to use - I use it with warm water and a flannel as the bottle suggests. It smells nice without being overpowering and leaves my skin feeling very comforted and noticeably soft and smooth. The only drawback I would have with this stuff is that I do need to use a separate eye make-up remover with it. It's not a huge issue for me, as I almost always have some lying around, but if you are looking for a good all-in-one cleanser I'd recommend the Clinique balm over this. The Renewing Rose Cleanser has plenty of its own plus points, though, and I think it would be great for any skin type apart from very acne-prone - it's a real winter treat for skin!
