Out this month from The Body Shop is a new scent range - Honeymania is a series of products with Community Fair Trade honey from Ethiopia. Honey can be a bit of a tricky, heady scent but, overall I like this one - for the most part, it's sweet and pleasant (with an unexpected floral kick) without being too sickly or overpowering.
Body Butter is The Body Shop's best product by a long shot. I love pretty much all of them (but my favourites are the Coconut and Pink Grapefruit scents, FYI), and have been getting along very nicely with this one. Some of the Body Butters are more hydrating than others - for example, if you have very dry skin, I'd point you in the direction of the Coconut or Shea ones, rather than, say, Strawberry. This one sits nicely in the middle of the road hydration-wise. It does a great job but is not the same as the ones I've just mentioned. I love the smell and find that it lingers just long enough for me to enjoy it, but not so long that it's annoying me and giving me a headache!
As this is quite a warm scent, the soap has been a hit with me in the bath and shower. I feel like the scent performs best in that kind of scenario; it's relaxing,, indulgent and comforting. As far as soap goes, I've found this one to be extremely gentle so it could be great if you've kids. If you're looking to treat yourself, there's also a shower gel and bath melt which could be perfect as the cold weather creeps in.
If I were to pick an EDT fragrance from The Body Shop, it would be a fruity, light one - something like Pink Grapefruit. So, to be honest, it was no big surprise that this one didn't rock my world! For me personally, this was just too much of a heavy scent to wear all day. Someone else might love this, but I have to always tell the truth here and it just wasn't my thing.
So for me, Honeymania is all about the bath, shower and body products - even if you are not normally a honey fan (I detest eating the stuff) definitely check it out as the scent isn't quite what you'd expect!
