L'Oréal Collection Privée Les Nudes

Nude lipstick loves listen up! L'Oréal Paris has something mighty special for you this autumn season! Collection Privée Les Nudes* (RRP €11.99) is a line-up of six nude lipsticks created in collaboration with L'Oréal Spokesmodels; Cheryl (that is, The Artist Formerly Known As Cheryl Cole), Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Liya Kebede, Eva Longoria and Doutzen Kroes.

The shades, while all nudes, vary from the palest pink to the deepest mauve and it is intended that there is one to suit most every skintone. Now, I'm not a massive nude lipstick lover. I dread the zombie look and find it very hard with my pale skintone to avoid this. However, there are a few shades in this line-up that work really well. Obviously, Julianne Moore's rose pink shade looks the best as she too is very pale with red hair but, Eva Longoria's peach shade is also a beautiful darker nude that I really like. Keep scrolling down for swatches of each shade (and my very freckly post-holiday face!) so, you can see how the likes of Doutzen's nude doesn't suit me at all but, some of the others look good!

From left to right below we have; Doutzen, Julianne, Eva and Freida.

The packaging on these babies is beautiful. A chunky, matte black tube with gold accents, it looks like it just fell off an Armani counter. As always with L'Oréal, I find the price point a little too far north of the drugstore average for comfort but, I think in this instance, the concept, packaging etc, can just about warrant the price point. If you're a fiend for the nude lips, I strongly recommend you take a trip to your nearest L'Oréal stand and, even if you're not, I would still suggest checking them out. If I can find a nude that I like, maybe you can too!

  1. Lovely on you and your makeup is simply beautiful! Have to say I swatched these all in Boots and didn't like the look of any of them but Eva and Julianne look especially nice on you!

  2. They look very different on your lips, I would have seen these and thought they were too pinky or purpley but they are very wearable
