La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lips

I have some weird obsession with lip balm. I can't go asleep at night without applying a balm. I have one on my work desk, one in my handbag, my car, my gym bag. Yep, it's getting out of hand and I have another lip balm love to add to the pile!

From La Roche-Posay, one of my favourite brands, has added to their Cicaplast line-up with a lip balm that is intended as a repairing barrier balm for extremely dry lips. Cicaplast Lips* (RRP €6.50) contains 10% Shea Butter which creates a sort of seal over the lips so that the repair can begin deep down and 5% Panthenol for its anti-inflammatory and soothing effects.

The product promises to limit dehydration, aid barrier reconstruction, soothe and comfort the area. After coming home from a holiday, my lips were feeling the pain of being exposed to the sun, sea and other elements for two weeks. They were chapped, red raw and painful and now, after one straight week of use, the condition of my lips has improved tenfold.

While this is a welcome addition to the Cicaplast range, it is an odd one perhaps as the brand's wonder product Cicaplast Baume B5 was billed, among other things, as an intensive lip treatment which is something I have had great success using it for. It's nice to have a smaller tube of a similar formula and, while I do think that the B5 is, perhaps, a touch more effective due to the extra ingredients it contains, Cicaplast Lips is the perfect product to have to hand this winter.

  1. I love the regular Cicaplast, didn't know there is a separate one for lips :) The small tube will be more handbag friendly though x

  2. This sounds like a great product, I'm obsessed with lip balm as well and I'm always looking for one that does more than the last so I'll certainly be checking this out. I'll also take a look at the Cicaplast Baume B5 whilst I'm at it! x
