Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Blue Grape

I'm really not an impulse shopper but, when I walked through Boots last week, fully intending on just picking up the necessities, this shade of Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail polish caught my eye and was in my basket quicker than I could even think about it.

Blue Grape is a bright, cobalt blue that instantly reminded me of the Nails Inc Baker Street shade I included in my June Wishlist post. It is the type of colour that brightens up untanned skin but, really ahem pops against a tanned complexion.
I love the Gelly Hi-Shine formula. Dee got me the shade Raspberry for my birthday and I was so impressed with how shiny it was - no topcoat needed - and how pigmented. Blue Grape is a bit less pigmented and can apply a bit streaky if you aren't careful but, a few coats to even it out and you have an amazingly eye catching mani!

  1. Every time in Boots I pick these up and then put them back!

  2. I've heard these are really chip resistant and this colour is gorgeous so I think I might have to pick up some of these next time I'm in Boots.
