It's been awhile since we've had a chat about skincare which is weird since it is my absolute obsession. So, I thought it was high time we shared some new finds, tips and tricks with each other! Let me start by updating you on my skin. I think when we last spoke, I was having a foul time with dryness, irritation and unusual breakouts. Thankfully, that little hiccup is but a distant memory now and my skin has reverted to being largely normal with some odd patches of dehydration and breakouts that are few and far between. I can credit a few products with helping to maintain my skin in this state.
I'm still using my Clarisonic everyday, usually at night. I firmly believe that this is the main reason why my skin has changed for the better and, even when it does act up, can be brought back to some level of normalcy relatively quickly. To cleanse, I have been using Philosophy Purity Made Simple*. If you've spent any amount of time in the beautysphere, you will have heard all about this cleanser and how much everyone loves it. Undoubtedly, it is a good cleanser but, I have yet to discover what makes it such a rave-worthy product. That being said, it is the best cleansing product I have used to date for removing make-up. Even in comparison to cleansing balms, the Purity effortlessly melts off all make-up, including waterproof eye make-up.
Speaking of eye make-up, the Vichy Purete Thermale Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover is AWESOME. As someone who loves thick, black, waterproof mascara and who frequently wakes up with black smudges under her eyes, this is a saving grace! Also for eyes, I have been trying out Philosophy Eye Hope*. Now, I have admitted in the past that I am awful at remembering to use eye cream but, I have been enjoying this one so much that I actually look forward to that step in my routine. The cream is cooling and leaves the eye area firm to the touch and looking a lot more radiant.
I have already posted on my new moisturiser love, La Roche-Posay Nutritic Intense Riche* so, I won't bore you to death about it again except to say that I still feel the same about it in that I absolutely love it. It is the most comfortable and comforting face cream I have used to date and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who suffers with even minor dehydration in the skin. Finally, I have been testing a new spot treatment. Thankfully, I haven't been needing it too much but, the Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot* works to diminish the appearance of blemishes and dry them up which it does definitely do. I can't say for definite if I prefer it to my Origins Spot Remover but, it is a definite contender and I love the hygienic tube and cooling metal applicator.
What skincare have you been loving lately?
