Guess Girl EDT

071

Sweet, girly scents have never really been my first port of call perfume-wise. Similarly, I've never been much of a Guess Girl myself, but I've actually come to love this fragrance quite a lot since it was given to me at an event a few weeks back. This scent is a new one for spring and was formulated to celebrate 30 years of the brand. There is very little to dislike about this perfume, from start to finish.

I wasn’t sure if this would really suit me, but I was really taken by surprise - the scent is beautiful, and  I can see myself finishing the entire bottle before the summer (if it ever arrives) is out.  Guess Girl starts off with a quick burst of raspberry and melon. It has middle notes of orchid and lily with a vanilla and sandalwood dry-down. The most obvious notes to me were the fruity ones, which make it quite zingy and spring-appropriate.

Most importantly, this does not smell at all childish or overly girly or synthetic. I think it's excellent value at €25.95 for 30ml - I'd wear this day or night and the staying power isn't bad at all considering this is an eau de toilette. The bottle has obviously taken a leaf out of Marc Jacobs' book, but I'm not complaining, it's seriously pretty and looks lovely on my shelf. A great perfume that won't break the bank - it'd make a good gift for any woman, and it's affordable enough to warrant treating yourself to as well!

Guess Girl Eau de Toilette* is available from April at €25.95 for 30ml. Oh, and check out how ridey  Amber Heard looks in the campaign image - I still can't believe she dumped Johnny Depp, though!!

  2. The scent sounds great for spring summer but the packaging looks not one bit cohesive. A mismatched pink lid and an aul strip of black ribbon!
