Chanel Les 4 Ombres - Raffinement
Sometimes, despite the fact I am kind of immersed in it, make-up still comes and takes me by surprise. This happened to me recently when my boyfriend went way overboard and gave me this for Valentine's Day. (Disclaimer: I am not really a Valentine's person by nature, nor am I a boaster, I just wanted to share this awesome quad with you. I got him something nice too!)
Raffinement is a quad that came out as Chanel's spring collection, Printemps Precieux de Chanel. Basically, it is perfect. I have pretty much zero complaints about this quad and I adore it. I'll let the pictures do the talking:
This quad is comprised of four warm neutral colours that work perfectly together. You can create a fresh daytime look with this extremely easily, or smoke it up as much as you like with the aid of the darkest shade. These are baked mineral shadows (Note: if you are in the US, Chanel shadows are not baked but, you do get more product in the pan).
The colour payoff is excellent, they blend extremely easily and look perfect on. I feel like these shades really suit my blue eyes but they would look equally good on any shade, really. There is a slight hint of mauve from the colours when they are applied together - the top left shades reminds me of one of my favourite ever eyeshadows from MAC, Sable.
Honestly, I don't have much else to say really! I have been using these pretty much exclusively since I got them and they are extremely versatile and easy to use. I feel so lucky to have them and, naturally I now want to buy up the entire Chanel counter after such a love affair with Raffinement!
