What I'm Wearing #4: Kate Moss 107

I've been feeling quite behind with blogging over the last while. It was just a classic case of 'real life' getting in the way - I was extremely busy and stressed over exams in the run-up to Christmas, and, as soon as I got time off, I was unfortunate enough to get the worst flu that I've had in a very long time. Typical! Anyhow, I feel a bit more organised now that it's the new year and all that. I will let you in on a bit of a secret, though - these pictures were taken about a month ago! Gasp! Bad blogger.

So, let's talk about some of the standout products I used here. For base, I used the No7 Stay Perfect foundation and I can't emphasise enough how great this is - I think I love it as much as Teint Idole Ultra, and the shade is much better on me! I'm just after using this up and will definitely be buying it again. I set my foundation with the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder - this is actually my mam's but I had to rob it to try for myself (all in the name of blogging!) and it's bloody amazing. It keeps everything in place, and I think it would essentially make almost any foundation long-wearing. It's definitely one of the best loose powders I've ever tried, and I'm definitely going to pick up one for myself soon!

For eyes, I pulled out my MUA Heaven and Earth palette which I haven't really used a whole bunch since I got it in Newcastle last March. The problem that I have with this is that it is a very shimmery array of colours. I watched a video yesterday where Dani said that you really need to use a separate, matte base colour in order for this to work and I agree with her. When I use this, I usually like the look I come up with, but it's usually a bit too shimmery for my liking. Overall, though, the palette is great value and a welcome addition to any makeup collection.

For lips, lately I've been all about the oh-so-popular dark burgundy red Kate Moss lipstick from Rimmel. It really is a brilliant lipstick and the shade is amazing. To finish off and keep my lips from drying out, I used a slick of Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Stick on top. This is a bit of an unsung hero of mine - I got it back in August and use it nearly every day, either alone or on top of a lip tint or lipstick. The reddish tint suits my colouing and it softens and hydrates my lips incredibly well!

  1. Dee, your skin is PERFECT, Teint Idole is my fave foundation too so Ill defo give the Stay Perfect a go

  2. What a beautiful neutral eye! Even though you used a good amount of product it still looks natural, love it

  3. Love it! I am still obsessed with the Kate 107! But I am the same with my MUA palette, tend to neglect it sometimes due to the shimmer. Sometimes the effort of combining a palette with other products to make it work is too much for the wee hours of the morning!

  4. I've always been terrified to try dark lipsticks like this but honestly I think that shade is beautiful!
