Foundation is a huge, huge deal for me and I know that most of you guys are the same. I'm always looking for the perfect base, and the occasion is extremely rare that I find one that I'd repurchase. This foundation is definitely one that I'd buy again, so I knew I had to write about it!
I'm sure most of you have heard of this foundation. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation has been talked about a lot over the last year (by Orla especially!), so I'm definitely late to the party here. It's a light, blendable base which has won a lot of praise for its natural, dewy, 'second skin' effect.
I'm not holding back on this one - I love it and I think that most people will. It's super-easy to apply; either with your fingers or a brush, and it's also incredibly easy to blend. It smells nice but isn't overpowering, and the coverage is sheer to medium - on bad skin days, I pair this with plenty of concealer and mineral powder, and I'm more than happy with the coverage I get - plus, it's in no way cakey.
The shade is also worth commenting on, because it's one of the best matches I've ever found for my face. I really can't get over how much I get on with this - paired with powder, it lasts well on me and I'm happy to wear it even when I know I've a long day ahead of me. I have still been using a heavier coverage base for nights out (Lancome Teint Idole 24H), but I've actually found myself still mixing a bit of this in for a better shade match.
