Berlin Beauty

I'm off to Berlin today for a few days and, once again, I am only bringing hand luggage (when will I learn?) and I found myself getting massively stressed when packing over the weekend about what to bring/not to bring. It's bitterly cold in Berlin at the moment so, bulky, warm clothing was a must and, of course, this takes up a lot of space. So, not wanting to risk hypothermia, I had to cull the beauty product selection and whittled it down to just the basics. I figured this was worth showing you as it really highlights what products I value and truly love at the moment.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer and Corrector Review
Laura Mercier Loose Mineral Powder Foundation Review
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Exposed Review
Maybelline Full n' Soft Waterproof Mascara
Anastasia Brow Wiz
NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner - Via Appia
Lancôme Eye Kohl - Jazzy Taupe
Clinique Chubby Stick
Rêve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm

As an aside, please let me know if you have any restaurant/sightseeing recommendations for me while I'm in the city!

  1. Such a good selection. Always wanted to try one of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, I'm tempted to purchase one in the New Year.

Have a wonderful and safe journey.

  2. Berlin is an amazing city! It depends where you're staying for food, which is unless it's a tourist spot quite cheap! The area around the Hackischer Markt is worth a wander around (and there's a Mac shop there too near the Hackische Höfe) and prenzlauer berg is quite nice too, although probably not so much in the cold. Try and track down a Christmas market whilst you're there, it's probably worth it :) if you like museums, museum insel is great and if you're super interested in WWII there's a concentration camp north of Berlin (easy to get to) called Sachsenhausen which might interest you. Otherwise I think Alexanderplatz is nice for shopping although prenzlauer Berg has quirkier shops, have fun whatever you end up doing!:)

  3. Oh and if you have an iPhone (I think it might be available to other smartphones, not quite sure) download the app Berlin Guidepal, it's a great little guide book app, I used it those three weeks that I was in Berlin:)

  5. I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
