Herbal Essences Hello Hydration

I'm really not too particular about my shampoo. I have straight, uncoloured hair that needs little in the way of taming or repair. However, I am a total sucker for a yummy scented shampoo so, when a neatly wrapped package arrived to my house containing the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner, I was instantly sold on the smell alone! Yep, I'm a marketers dream...

The scent in question is one of my all time favourites; coconut. Whatever it is about this light, sweet and tropical scent reminds me of being on holiday and instantly makes me feel happy! The entire Hello Hydration range; shampoo, conditioner and Deep Nourishing Intensive Mask smells like this and is pocket-friendly to boot with both the shampoo and conditioner retailing at €2.65 and the mask at €5.29.

Now, to be fair, the shampoo could have been utter pants and I still would have used it because of the smell alone but, I actually really, really like how this duo lathers and rinses and leaves my hair very smooth and shiny. So much so, I ended up repurchasing this while in the USA instead of any other of the zillion shampoos on offer there!

The sleekness and shine is said to come from botanical silk extracts while the scent I keep banging on about is a combination of Hawaiian coconut and orchid extracts. The whole pitch surrounding this product is to nourish and, obviously, hydrate hair, and that's precisely what it does. There's not much more I can say about the line as they are just straight forward, lovely to use products that give great results, end of!

  1. Hi! I love the Herbal Essences deep conditioners. They always leave my hair lovely and shiny and so much more manageable and they smell great! I haven't tried their shampoo though, must give it a whirl.

  2. I happened to pick the conditioner up when I was in the States too just for use in the hotel.
I bought it simply for the coconut scent and was really impressed. The sad part is I left it there as I didn't have room in my suitcase on the way home. I need this in my life again!
