New Stuff from MAC, Laura Mercier & Korres

MAC Supernova Blush, MAC Tempting Eyeshadow, Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen, Korres Mandarin Lip Butter

I love shiny new things! It was my birthday last month so I've had an extra few quid to play with, and as always, the majority of it has gone on make-up, most of which I'd been lusting after for a good while.

MAC Supernova Blush, MAC Tempting Eyeshadow

I'll start with the MAC stuff: the Heavenly Creatures collection has been calling my name for a good while now, and I resisted until this week. I was surprised to see that nothing had sold out yet, despite the collection being on counter for a couple of weeks - I mustn't be the only one holding back! I picked up Supernova Mineralise Blush from the collection - it's a gorgeous hot, dolly pink with swirls of gold. I knew I wanted this as soon as I saw it online, and it didn't disappoint in person either. You only need a tiny amount of this, so it'll last me for ages, and it has a nice sheen to it without being too sparkly. A perfect everyday product.

I also impulse-bought an eyeshadow. Tempting is a bronzey-brown, the best way I can describe it is that it goes on the way that Woodwinked looks in the pan! I really like it all over the lid with All That Glitters in the inner corner, and it's a welcome addition to my collection. I don't often buy MAC eyeshadows because I have so many palettes from other brands, but the ones that I do have get used consistently, so I am aiming to buy more and finally make up my own palette! I'm still buying them in pot form for the time being and I cannot wait to back to MAC them all after depotting!

Next up, I was badly in need of an eyeshadow primer after using up my MAC Painterly Paint Pot, and really wanted to try something different. I'm not mad on Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance, so decided to opt for Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen. I really wanted this after seeing LisaLisaD1 rave about it - if it's good enough for that lady, it's good enough for me! It's a really brightening, lightweight eye primer that suits my skin tone really well, and even looks great on its own. Any eyeshadow applies beautifully over it, and, yeah, can you tell that I'm obsessed?!

I also picked up a Korres Mandarin Lip Butter stick in Space NK in Dundrum. Sinéad has previously raved about how much she loves hers, so when I saw them, I snapped one up straight away! I really get the hype now, I can't stop using it and my lips are so soft and supple from it. The reddish tint it gives is perfect for my colouring, and I've been lashing it on over a lip tint for an extra hit of colour. Really recommend this!

Have you picked up any new stuff lately? Both myself and Sinéad are obsessed with Laura Mercier right now, I really want to try their Silk Crème foundation and one of their highlighters!

  1. i havent seen the heavenly bodies at our counter yet. :(

    belated happy birthday!

  2. Would love to try that lip balm, looks lovely but I have enough haha! :)

  3. Woooh, Supernova's so pretty on the pan and swatched. I like that the shimmer isn't gnarly or over the top. Perfect! I bought the Korres lip balm in peach pink, not crazy about the taste but with the sun protection and pretty color, I shouldn't be complaining.

  4. that supernova blush is sooo pretty! I'd be afraid to use it incase I ruin it haha!

  5. Been digging Revlon's lip stuff this week, good stuff! The Korres lip balm sounds fab!

  6. Didn't even know that Laura Mercier made an eye primer! Looks like a really good shade and texture. Tempting is a gorgeous colour - I love neutral/bronze eyeshadows like it.
