New from Avon: Naked Truth

Nude lips and nude nails are usually at the bottom of my list. I'm a lover of colour, and tend to rely on bright shades on my lips and tips to perk up my skintone. Because I'm so pale, I'm a bit afraid of super-pale nude polish in case it gives me the dreaded 'mannequin hands' look, and there are only a couple that I can rely on to have more depth than a flat cream polish. My favourites include Sally Hansen Mudslide and Feliciana by Wild and Crazy, and this week, another polish joined the club.

On Monday, Sinéad and I went to check out some new products from Avon, which included a ton of new shades that have recently been added to their Nailwear Pro+ line. There are some seriously pretty brights in the line (which we'll be showing you soon), but my nails are looking crap at the moment, so I decided to go with something a little more subdued. Ender Naked Truth...isn't it pretty?!

I love how this shade isn't too flat or boring - it has some depth to it, and the mauvey tones keep my hands from looking dead. I didn't apply a top coat for these pictures just so you can see how shiny the polish dries on its own. Impressive, right?! I love this shade and I think it'll continue to be a staple for me even when my nails improve again, as it's perfect for autumn.

Avon Nailwear Pro+ retails for €8 per polish, but keep an eye out for special offers which often pop up in Avon brochures! Find your nearest rep here.
