It's bloody difficult to write well about perfume. I usually rely on pictures of whatever make-up or skincare to spur me on and help me write a descriptive review; however, when it comes to top and base notes of this and that with a heart of precious lotus flower or some other guff, I tend to get a bit lost. I don't want to act like I'm an expert here, so be warned!
I was sent this a couple of months ago now and was immediately intrigued to try it, as I know that loads of people love the original Armani Code. It's not a fragrance I have myself, so I can't directly compare them in this post, but I do know that this is slightly sweeter, less heady scent.
To describe the scent as best I can: I would say it is sweet, soft, fresh and powdery. It's neither overwhelmingly fruity nor super-dark and musky. A nice, balanced scent: very vanilla-y and powdery. Yes, I've just said 'powdery' twice, but that's the strongest part of this perfume for me, and my mother also remarked that I smelled like baby powder when I was wearing it recently - not in a bad way, though, she loved it!
The bottle is simple, tasteful and pretty without being over-the-top, much like the fragrance itself. For an eau de toilette, this lasts very well on me. It's something that I would wear during the day or at night - quite a clean but sweet scent that is well worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of the original Armani Code.
