NARS Funny Face Lipstick

Like most make-up freaks, I have a List. This List is partially saved on my Blackberry, while the rest of it is scribbled in my blogging notebook, and also saved somewhere in the back of my brain.
Make-up wise, my List mostly entails products that I've seen great reviews or beautiful pictures of on other blogs. This was certainly the case with this lipstick - I saw this post on Heather Does Makeup and fell in love straight away. It took me ages to actually buy this lipstick, and a lot of, shall we say, 'lady logic' was involved in its purchase. NARS lipsticks are €25, so not exactly an everyday buy.

However, I decided to treat myself in this case, just because I was so obsessed with the pinky-reddy shade, and hey - the packaging is also seriously lovely. My gamble (and use of some seriously dodgy ''I need this'' logic) did pay off in this instance, as I'm seriously happy with my purchase.

The colour, for one, is stunning - a blue-toned pink-red (or is it red-pink?) which would be a great shade to go for if you, like me, are conscious of certain strong shades making your teeth look yellow.
The quality of this lipstick is also sublime. A semi-matte formula, this stuff sticks around for hours without drying my lips out, and also leaves a (flattering) stain in its wake.

Because it's so powerful and long-lasting, you also don't need to use a lot, which also slightly alleviates the fact that you get a stingy amount of product.

As happy as I am with this, I doubt that I'll be buying another NARS lipstick soon, unless they come out with some amazing shade that I just have to have. Overall though, I'd rather go to Chanel if I'm spending that amount of money.

What are your favourite NARS products? I've been eyeing up the Ramatuelle eyeshadow trio!

  8. Hi nice post! I'm going on holiday to Dublin next month and wondered where you shop for cosmetics etc? Is there a drugstore where you get things from? Also, I think I've seen essence on your blog and wondered where I can get that? Thanks alot! :)

    1. Hi! Brown Thomas has pretty much all high-end brands. The best and biggest Boots in the city centre is in the Jervis centre, and there's an Inglot right beside it. Essence is in a lot of pharmacies and Penneys on Mary St and O'Connell St. Arnotts and Debenhams are also worth checking out for beauty counters! :)
