2: Current Favourites

Recently, I have felt like I've rekindled my love for all things beauty. I've found myself getting up a little earlier in the mornings to play with make-up and I have become quite obsessed with skincare which has never happened before! I don't know whether it's been the good weather or just a general desire to take care of myself but, I've felt really inspired and have enjoyed discovering loads of new products.

Now, as any beauty junkie will know, favourite products are hard to pin down as they chop and change quite a lot! Because of this, it's been a good while since my last post of this type but, I finally feel like I have enough new favourites to justify an update so, here we go!

Maybelline Color Tattoo On and On Bronze - I've been wearing this as a workday eyeshadow pretty much non-stop since I got it. It's such a pretty, metallic bronze shade that really brings out the blue in my eyes and is great for creating a simple, instant smokey eye. Depending on how intense I want my eyes to be, I've either been wearing this solo on the lid and blended into the crease or else have topped it off with a bronze powder shadow like MAC Bronze or Mythology for an extra bit of oomph!

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch - I popped a review up of this late last week and it's gotten to the point where I can't leave the house without it on, whether I am wearing make-up or not! The slight pink tiny lightly masks imperfections while the silicone-heavy base gives my skin a more even appearance. I wish this came in industrial size?!

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation - I bought this on Dee's recommendation and, from the first application, I was entirely blown away. I will have a full post up on this once I have played with it a little more but, in short, the finish is flawless, the coverage is buildable and it holds up perfectly through the hot days we've been lucky enough to have lately!

Real Techniques Brushes - I've already posted about my Real Techniques brushes but, everyday I find them a total joy to use. I nearly feel bad at not using my MAC brushes as much but, I am just consistently blown away by the finish that these brushes give!

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum - I have been obsessed with this serum since it came in April's Glossybox and I fully intend on purchasing the full-size once the 10ml runs out. I use this morning and night before my moisturiser and it totally plumps up my skin and keeps it hydrated throughout the day.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal UV  - I've never really used an SPF under my make-up on a daily basis but, as I mentioned above, I have become really consumed with taking care of my skin and this was one of the first steps I took. This moisturiser contains SPF 25 and sits beautifully beneath whatever base I'm wearing. There is no obvious white cast and it smells really lightly of summer holidays and the beach!

Clinique Chubby Stick - I was sent one of the new Chubby Sticks in Pudgy Peony to trial a few weeks ago and I've been inseparable from it ever since. I wear it to work, to town, walking to the gym, it is just the perfect all-rounder lip product and I can't wait to pick up a few more.

Clarins Bronzing Duo - It would seem I am having something of a love-in with French brands at the moment and this beautiful bronzer from Clarins current Enchanted Summer collection is topping my list. I use this every morning to add some natural-looking colour to my complexion, across my cheekbones, temples, nose and chin. It's a matte/satin finish that looks entirely seamless on the skin I can't recommend it enough.
