Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I really don't get the whole nude lip thing at all. Obviously, I'm fairly biased as it really doesn't seem to suit my colouring, but I really do think that, even for daytime, a berry-toned lip is so much more natural and pretty.
I've loved lip stains for years and used to rely heavily on Benetint when I was working full-time, as I loved how it lasted. I've also tried and loved lip tints from The Body Shop, TheBalm and Soap & Glory. Come to think of it, I really didn't need to buy this Rimmel one at all, but a 3 for 2 offer sucked me in!
I think what really attracted me to this stain was the deep colour (Carry on Cherry) and the lasting power, as it did not budge when I swatched it on my hand. The packaging is fairly standard for a lip marker, and very reminiscent of the Revlon ones (which I hated by the way). The marker actually smells delicious - like cherries - and there's a balm on the other end.
The nib is easy to work with and get into every corner and crevice of your gob. So far, it hasn't dried out, which was the main issue I had with its Revlon counterpart. The balm on the end is okay - definitely nothing exciting, and I've actually been using my Smith's Rosebud Salve instead as it leaves a glossier finish.
Are you a lip tint person? This is my current favourite for day, but I also recently splurged on a YSL Glossy Stain, which is insanely beautiful. More on that soon...
