Judging by the popularity of budget brands such as Essence, Catrice, NYC et al, us Irish girls are fond of a bargain. We can't all afford the likes of MAC and YSL all the time, and it is possible to get decent quality products at a fairer price if you know what to look for.
This is where the Internet is your best friend, and how many people, myself included, stumble upon beauty blogs in the first place. Googling reviews of products is a seriously efficient and quick way of finding out what is good and cheap out there! I'd be lying if I said I thought that everything made by, say, Essence is amazing - I'm not a fan of their powders, for instance, but a bit of research will prevent you from wasting money on dud products!
As an avid reader of beauty blogs from every corner of the world, I was really surprised when I came across a new cosmetics stand in my local A Wear, the name of which I had never heard before. I got to swatching and was really impressed with the pigmentation of this baked eyeshadow (it was about a fiver!), picked it up and went on my way.
A bit of quick Googling at home told me that Flormar started out in Milan, but is now manufactured in Istanbul. It's another welcome addition to the range of affordable brands on the Irish market, and I'm already dying to try out more of their products. The lipsticks looked really nice and bright with good pigmentation, and the baked blushers are also really pretty.
What do you make of this? Let me know if you've tried any Flormar products!
