It's been awhile since I did a "Favourites" post. I used to do these monthly but, it got to the stage where I wasn't using enough new stuff to require a post every four weeks.
However, it's been a good, err, seven months since my last post of this type so, it's time for an update!
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H: I have a full review of this foundation here and everything I said there still stands. The love I have for this foundation hasn't waned at all surprisingly and, if anything, it's grown stronger!
I usually whip this out when I'm going anywhere social (Read: Not work/home/Kev's/gym) or anywhere I might be photographed. I can put this on at 7.30 am and it still looks fresh and flawless at 10 pm. LOVE.
MAC Rebel Lipstick and Currant Liner: I'm not one to shy away from bold lip colours and this dark berry shade has seen me through winter, making me feel sophisticated and suitably seasonal!
I have a major obsession with lip liners and think that that they really make lips appear fuller, sharper and more defined as well as keeping the colour on longer.
Sigma Sigmax Synthetic Precision Kit: I've mentioned before how I love to use my Sigma F80 brush to give my foundation a flawless finish. So, when my sister mentioned at home that she wanted to get it along with the other three Sigmax Kabuki brushes, I jumped at the chance to order the Precision set which I'd had my eye on for awhile.
We ordered the full Sigmax Synthetic Essential set off Cloud 10 Beauty (Amazing next day delivery!) and split the cost. I got my four Precision brushes and she got her four Kabukis for €50 each which wasn't too shabby for four brushes. The quality is amazing and the finish these brushes give is just incredible.
LUSH Each Peach Massage Bar: I know I've spoken about the Friends With Benefits massage bar before and Each Peach is just as lovely.
I've been hitting the gym pretty hard lately as summer is just around the corner (kind of!). While I'm feeling better about my body and fitness, my muscles are protesting wildly at the massive exertion and this massage bar has been a lifesaver for working out kinks and knots, soothing aches and err, well, massaging my pains away!
Day Soft Contact Lenses: A few people on Twitter recommended that I try ordering my contacts off Day Soft as it works out so much cheaper.
I was a bit hesitant at first but, figured that, for €12 a month (32 pairs) it couldn't hurt to give them a shot. You basically find the lenses you currently use in a long list and they provide you with the Day Soft equivalent.
I kind of despise wearing glasses and laser surgery is most definitely on the cards as soon as possible but, the cheap-as-chips price of these lenses means that I can wear them a lot more frequently and not have to save them for the aforementioned social occasions!
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel: You may remember I bought this in London last summer when Dee and I went for a trip. Honestly, I was a bit nonplussed about it and a bit unsure of how to work with it so, promptly popped it in my cheek drawer and forgot about it. Ashamed.
However, after seeing how effortlessly Pixiwoo work with this and how gorgeous, glowy and warming it looks, I decided to give it another go. Happily, I seem to have mastered this by applying lightly in the hollows of my cheeks with my MAC 130 brush and building steadily to the perfect depth.
Are you loving anything amazing at the moment?
