In an attempt to be even more natural, the already environmentally conscious brand will be wrapping all solid cleansers in cornhusks which are 100% natural, compostable and biodegradable. It is hoped that this new packaging will take over from the black, recycled-pastic pots currently in use and save over 24.4 tonnes of plastic packaging annually.
The new packaging initiative will be launched with the limited edition, festive Bûche de Noël (€7.50 for 100g) at the beginning of October and will eventually be available for permanent solid cleansers like the best selling Angels on Bare Skin, the oily-skin friendly Dark Angels and the blemish-busting Herbalism (All €7.90 for 100g).

We're going to start featuring one product a week that comes in under a fiver because, let's face it, we're not getting any richer and it's not always necessary to spend €20 and upwards on one cosmetic item!
Our first budget beauty product is one I featured awhile ago in a beauty basics haul. I bought the Girlz Only Dry Shampoo from Penneys/Primark to see if it could contest the ultimate favourite, Batiste and, admittedly, I did not have high hopes for it (Call me a snob!)!
Coming it at €1.90, it is marginally cheaper than Batiste and, aside from the embarrassingly preteen-esque name, it puts up a strong fight against the reigning champion!
It really does what it says on the tin and is a great dry shampoo. It is not especially powdery, nor does it leave a white dust lingering in your tresses. You simply shake, spray, squirt and scrunch to soak up any nastiness and get an extra day out your barnet.
It also has a really refreshing, floral scent that I actually prefer to any of the Batiste ones I have tried. Colour me impressed!

I'm back in college this week, and as a (completely unnecessary) treat to myself for making it through Monday, I picked myself up a new OPI on the way home. Trinity Pharmacy on Westland Row is the reason my OPI addiction started. The girl in there now knows me as the nail polish freak - embarrassing. Oh well, look how pretty it is! Also, they give student discount.
Bright Lights - Big Colour (I refuse to spell it the American way) is a gorgeous orangey shade with a warm gold micro-glitter running through it. Not exactly an autumnal shade, but I adore it.
What do you think?

Sarah sent us a tonne of stuff from her store Little Mouse Ears (how adorable is that name?!) and has also, very generously, set up a coupon code so that any Viva Adonis readers wishing to purchase pieces of jewellery can do so and get 10% off. Be sure to check the end of the post for that info!
The pieces on Little Mouse Ears are, for the most part, divided into collections which, as beauty buffs who live for new make-up collections to be released, we really loved. We received earrings from a few separate collections as well as two friendship bracelets and, to say the least, we're seriously impressed!
We have compiled the limited edition themed products from companies like Clinique, Avon and Clarins so that you can pick the way in which you would like to support a cause which is so close to so many of our hearts.

The lovely people at Essence, one of our favourite budget brands, have given us a selection of their new My Skin skincare range to giveaway to one lucky reader so that they can keep their skin in tip-top shape during the colder months!
The Essence My Skin line was developed with young (and young-ish!) skin in mind. All products can be used together or separately to give your skin everything it needs during the harsh winter months; moisture, protection and freshness. Everything in the range is extremely well priced with the dearest item coming in at a respectable €2.79! Also, all products are dermatologically approve, are oil-free and have UVA/UVB filters.
Here's what the winner will receive;
Refreshing Toner: Made with lychee and blue grape, this toner will purify and pamper skin whilst wakening you up with it's sweet scent.
Soft Cleansing Gel: Deep-cleansing yet gentle and with moisturising lime and cucumber extracts, this soft cleanser will remove all traces of dirt and make-up and is suitable for all skin types.
Caring Cleansing Wipes: These wipes are non-drying and boast an alcohol-free formula which will remove every scrap of dirt and make-up, even waterproof. Suitable for all skin types.
Mattifying Cream: This oil-free moisturising cream will keep skin looking smooth and matte for up to 12 hours. The inclusion of UVA/UVB filters mean that this cream is perfect for everyday wear.
All you have to do to enter is follow this blog via Google Friend Connect (right sidebar) using your Google or Twitter account. Then leave a comment on this post with your email address/Twitter username so we can contact you if you win!
This competition will close at 12 noon on Monday 3rd October.
Psst! We're also giving away a Chanel lipstick of your choice so, enter for that here while you're at it!

Understandably, you might be thinking, "Sure, isn't red just red? Why do you need eight?" And, you may be right but, each red is very different. Some are muted, some are deep, some are vampy, some are vampire-y. Red is not just red in my eyes.
However, among these eight, I stumbled across my perfect red today. I've had it as long as some of the others but, always cast it aside in favour of something brighter, sexier or with a bit more sparkle. Yet, today, for the first time ever, I felt compelled to apply it (I really wanted to say here that "It spoke to me" but, I just can't!).
Maybe it's the changing of the seasons or maybe it's my tastes changing and maturing but, here, I present to you, my perfect red.

I find it really interesting how the looks change in each city. New York was very edgy and often quite dark while London was the same with a little bit of colourful crazy thrown in for good measure while Milan is super simple and chic with really effortlessly beautiful looks being created. I love all of the ones featured in this post.
I love doing my makeup before a night out. Part of that routine now usually involves taking pictures for you guys! Usually when I'm going out, I pick what lipstick I'm going to wear and build the rest of my look around it. Yes, I am a lipstick fiend!
Read on to see what I paired with MAC Impassioned.

A darkened plum shade that requires three good coats for full opacity, the real beauty of this colour is the gold flecks suspended within the polish. In the bottle and on the nails it gives the impression of gold leaf overlay and I am obsessed with the effect. Check it out below!

I'm a copycat.
But, when I saw the amazing value Dee got on lipsticks in the MUFE shop, I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by. So, off I toddled to pick up 3 lipsticks for the bargain basement price of €10!
I love darks for winter so, I picked up an amazing plum purple and a deep burgundy red as well as a pinky-coral shade.
L-R: N164, T51 and T47
One Swipe (L-R): L-R: N164, T51 and T47
Initial impressions, I love how pigmented they are and how you can wear them sheer with one swipe or build them up to be super intense. I also love how they are matte (I have an obsession with matte make-up!). Downside of the whole brand is the numbering system. The SA didn't know them herself and understandably so and we all kept getting confused as to which ones she was looking for! Names are much, much better in my opinion.

Cloud 10 Beauty features some of the most covetable beauty brands around, brands rarely seen before on our Emerald Isle (I heard David Attenborough's voice in my head as I wrote that!).
Nail junkies are taken care of with Seche, OPI and Essie. Make-up mavens are treated to all the latest from Sleek Make-Up, DuWop and Face Atelier. Skincare obsessives can delight in ProActiv, Ren and NUXE. And, for those of you who need/must/cannot live without your golden glow? Well, Cloud 10 carry Karora, St Tropez and Vita Liberata tans. Oh, and ladies, they stock Sigma make-up brushes!
We got sent some products from Cloud 10 Beauty to see what exactly they carry as well as to try the service (Everything was carefully packaged in a slim box with packing noodles and delivered the next day!). We'll be looking at some of these products in more depth in future posts but, here's a sneak peak!

More LFW looks from MAC Cosmetics. I love, love, the look for Erdem as well as Peter Pilotto and, even though it's crazy, Meadham Kirchoff!
No7's Creative Consultant, superstar make-up artist (and, arguably, our favourite YouTuber!) Lisa Eldridge took inspiration from the Autumn/Winter shows to create a minimalistic, chic range of products that enhances the wear's natural beauty. The range seems quite well rounded and includes primer, cheek stain, eye colours and eye pencils, all of which are extremely limited edition as the collection is only available in Boots stores until 4th October.
We got a few of the products to play around with and are here with some pictures and swatches for your viewing pleasure!

After such a great response from you all, we decided to continue with MAC's looks from London Fashion Week SS12 with those from Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Sass and Bide, Jonathan Saunders and Marios Schwab being personal favourites!
As always, you can click to enlarge!
I have a dangerous, slightly irrational obsession with lipstick - but it's okay guys, because I 'collect' it. Yeah...anyway, today's haulage was an absolute bargain which I had to share. Make Up For Ever on Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, have a selection of lipsticks that are three for €10. Fantastic value, and the colours were lovely!
The Avon Sequins and Shine collection, available from October 2011, features sparkling, sequins-y packaging and an array of eye, lip and nail products in various jewel-tones which, as anyone who has been clothes shopping lately will know, is very much the colour palette for winter and the holiday season. We have most of the collection to show you swatches of and we'll be doing FOTD and reviews over the coming days so, leave any particular requests in the comments!

Shaving your head bald and inking tendrils of hair onto your noggin must be one of the most painful things in the entire world. It's also not very practical as the upkeep will be fierce with constant shaving, shining and suncreaming (And you thought roots were bad?!) but, as I see it, she can just grow her hair back if she tires of it.
While this look is not for the faint-of-heart and is, most definitely, not for me, I do think that Eyrich looks ten shades of amazing. It suits her more than a whole head tattoo should ever suit anyone and, I think that it has an almost whimsical, romantic appearance to it. And, as tattoos go, it's beautifully done.
Anyone with me on this or is she just batshit crazy?!
Now, after numerous queries from you guys, we have gotten confirmation from the brand itself that the boxed powder Thrrrob will be discontinued. It is still available on a while-stocks-last basis so, if Thrrrob is your blush of choice or one you've been dying to try, now would be the time to snap one up!
British Actress Emily Blunt has been announced as the new face and ambassadress of YSL Opium fragrance.
Do we like? I think she looks beautiful and the ad is very "her"! Love the shoes too!
When the products from this collection arrived, I knew that they'd be perfect for our Winter Series. NUXE is a brand that we've already featured, and subsequently fell in love with (more on that in future posts!). I'm always a sucker for French brands like these, as they, well, work.
The Rêve de Miel collection has been around for a while now, but had been reformulated this year, along with the addition of three new products to the line-up. The core concept of the range is to fulfill the needs of dry and sensitive skin from head to toe with the use of acacia honey, sunflower and plant oils. As if that wasn't impressive enough, he products also contain argan oil, shea butter and barley extract.
You'd think that ingredients like this would equate to extortionate prices, but, for once, this is not the case. I was genuinely surprised when I glanced through the price list for this range. You're looking at parting with between €6.50 and €27 to bag yourself one of these products - not half bad! Read on to see what my first impressions of the range are.

I've mentioned multiple times at this point that I don't wear foundation on a daily basis. I thank my lucky stars that don't really need it and I honestly prefer having my extra 5 minutes in bed in the mornings to prepping, priming and packing on the slap!
My routine all through college consisted solely of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural buffed into my skin but, since starting this website, my eyes have been opened to alternative, quick n' easy bases that are just as fool-proof as my MSFN but, give a different result.
You might remember a couple of months back I waxed lyrical about the Colour Supplement from Lush and how it was the perfect workday base for me. In short, I found it to be light, dewy, quick and moisturising all while providing ample coverage for tired skin.
Now, a new product has weaselled it's way into my morning routine and is giving the Colour Supplement a run for it's money. I am, of course, talking about the product that has taken the beauty blogosphere by storm, Liz Earle's Sheer Skin Tint.
This isn't going to be a review of Liz Earle's first foray into make-up. The Internet has been saturated by them for weeks now and it just gets boring after awhile. This is going to be a look at how two of my favourite skin products stack up against one another, a true test of the tints.
Some of their newer products are really set to give higher-end brands a run for their money, and this primer, which arrived in the post a while back along with some other bits from their new collection (hitting shops in October), is no exception.
Prime and Fine seems to be quite an all-rounder: for €5.49, you're getting a decent-sized pot of creamy primer that claims to smooth out pores and lines for a refined complexion.
As this is an oil-free, silicone-based formula, it will suit most skin types. You can really feel the silicone when applying this - it gives just the right amount of 'slip', as Lisa Eldridge would say, for applying concealer and foundation.
It's become an essential step in my everyday make-up routine of late, and I definitely recommend it. It made my foundation go that extra mile, which is what I really look for in a primer. In fact, I like this so much that I may hold off on repurchasing my beloved Smashbox Photofinish for a while longer!
UPDATE: The lovely (and very on-the-ball!) PR people at Catrice are offering a primer to one of our readers after seeing this review. This will be a super-quick giveaway that I'm only leaving open until midday Friday 23rd September.
To enter, just make sure you are following via Google Friend Connect and comment below with your email address.
Best of luck!

More than once I have mentioned about how I have a creepy obsession with exfoliating. I find the process so satisfying that I often have to reign myself in from doing it more than once or twice a week and sloughing half my skin off! See, told you it was creepy!
So, I was understandably delighted when we received September GlossyBoxes to find that two sachets of Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing had been included. Even the name, Salt Brushing, sounds incredibly satisfying!
Anyways, enough of the creepy from me. As you may have seen in my recent shower post, I am almost out of my beloved Green Angel exfoliator as my mam and sister's have also taken a liking to it so, I jumped on this GlossyBox offering to see if I could find a product worthy of replacing it.
We held our first Twiveaway this week after we reached 1000 Twitter followers for a whole pile of Essence goodies! We had a great response and will be holding another Twiveaway when we reach 2000 followers!
Without further ado, the winner is...

A little Lush birdie told me today that some permanent products will be taken off the shelves by the end of next week in preparation for the huge influx of Christmas stock.
While we are waiting on confirmation of all of the products that will be removed, I did find out that the Almond and Coconut Shower Smoothie as well as Mrs Whippy Bath Bomb will be two of the products saying au revoir to your local Lush store!
We don't yet know if these will be permanently discontinued or if they will be returning once the Christmas season is over but, when we know, you will too!
So, if you can't bear to shower without your Coconut and Almond Smoothie or if Mrs Whippy is the only Bath Bomb for you, be sure to stock up before the end of next week!
You all know that we are huge fans of Lush and these skincare products are specifically targeted at combatting the effect wintery weather can have on you skin, aiming to rehydrate and soothe with a little frivolous pampering thrown in for good measure!
