Inglot is my new obsession. The prices are fair and the quality is amazing. I can see this turning into a 'collection' situation, where I find myself buying tons of Inglot with the justification that I am 'collecting' it in mind. Oh well, I love the stuff! Last week, I got another 5 pan palette and their infamous gel liner (not pictured). The liner really is amazing but will take some getting used to, as it is a lot thicker than the Essence one that I had been using.
Suprise, suprise, I'm still loving tacky nails. First up we have a ridiculous overload of glitter. I layered a Deborah Lippmann-esque polish (featured here) over Nubar Noir, concentrating it towards the tips. It ended up a tad messy, but I still loved it.
Next is a polish that is one of my all-time favourites - I can't believe it's taken me so long to feature it on here! It's from Urban Outfitters (unsure if it has a name, but it appears to have sunk into the swamp that is my room) and it's a vibrant, neon pink. The formula is quite jelly-ish but still wears well. Lurve it.
What do you guys think?

This, ladies, is Avon's limited edition fragrance collection Little Dot, released in celebration of the cosmetics brand reaching the big 1-2-5. Actually, that should be re-released as the Little Dot trio were Avon's first ever fragrances and triggered the launch of the brand in 1886.
Hyacinth (my favourite!), Rose and Violet fragrances make up the trio and all have been rejigged slightly from their original formulas to suit today's tastes. This is a really refreshing perfume release, due solely to the simplicity of the fragrances. Hyacinth smells like hyacinth, Rose smells like rose and Violet smells like, you guessed it, violet. Each scent is light and fresh, nothing overpowering here, no in-yo'-face notes of oak or jasmine or orange blossom or who knows what to decipher as is so common with many of today's scents.

Suffice to say, this was not the case with the eos lipbalm my lovely buddy Sarah brought me back from her trip to Florida (you HAVE to go check our her amazing hauls!). I have wanted one of these spherical balms for literally years. It's one of those silly things that you just fixate on and will not rest until you get it. (Thanks again Sarah, now I can move on to fixate on something new!)
So, how does little eos not disappoint?

ONE We've both waxed lyrical about Johnson's Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover many times now. My review got my mam's friend to give up her high end eye make-up remover (which shall remain nameless!) in favour of this one and, as she says herself, she hasn't looked back. This wont irritate the sensitive eye are but, it will remove ALL eye make-up including the ultra long-lasting Benefit They're Real! ad La Roche Posay Respectissime mascaras. This comes in at €4.50 from Penneys/Primark.
I originally saw this post on the fabulous CherrySue's blog, and thought it was a fantastic idea. We all have less money in our pockets these days, so here are five ways to pamper/beautify yourself for under a fiver!
Nails are a really easy way to do this without being too OTT and, I thought I would show you some of my top picks for Autumn 2011 (These do NOT include Chanel Peridot, Graphite or Quartz;naturally they are tiptop for this season!). If you are unsure about how to choose seasonal shades, just think of the colours you associate with spring, summer, autumn and winter and, after that, just go with what you feel like!

I was super bored today and, as a result, spent ages doing my make-up. I'd nearly (but not quite) forgotten how much I love this lipstick - it's such a juicy shade, like the orange version of MAC Impassioned with a little less staying power.
I'm still loving my La Roche-Posay Mascara and cannot say enough good things about my Inglot palette - I need another one ASAP! The highlight colour is my favourite as it works with literally almost everything!
On Monday we gave you an exclusive preview of Catrice's Modern Muse collection for Autumn 2011 and, well, we're the gift that keeps on giving as, today, we have a preview of Essence's "I Love..." collection as well as a few other sneaky additions to the budget brand. We're not going to include everything as the post would simply be too long, so instead we've picked our favourites (and there are plenty!)

Angel is a fragrance that most of us are pretty familiar with, as it's been around since 1992. I think it is quite a Marmite fragrance; some people adore it, whilst others cannot abide it. As a teenager I used to love it and always doused myself in it when walking through department stores; back then I thought the stronger the scent, the better.
We all love a good beauty bargain, and over the last year, Catrice has become a firm favourite among us Irish ladies for decent quality at an affordable price. We love their nail polishes and gel eyeliners in particular and were delighted when they sent us products from their newest range for autumn, Modern Muse.
The collection draws inspiration from the sixties in terms of big lashes and cat eyes, but also gives a modern twist to the look with the addition of smokey hues. Colours used are very autumnal - think golds, greys, taupes and racing green.

Y'know the way you've always dreamt of having flawless armpits, right?
What, not you either? Admittedly, it's something very few of us have ever actively thought about. it's enough to keep them hair and stank-free without having to worry about how pretty they look. Hence, we did shrug our shoulders a little upon receiving this press release.
However, when you give it some consideration, you can see why it might be something to take into account during your daily beauty routine. Dove's latest release, Dove Beauty Finish, is a 24-hour antiperspirant and also gives underarm skin a smooth, flawless and natural appearance.

NUXE is a Parisian brand which has been around for 20 years and has now reinvented itself in 2011 with a new skincare line. NUXE is most famed for its Huile Prodigieuse, a dry oil suitable for skin, hair and nails (We were told that Jennifer Lopez has said she bathes in the gold-infused version!). We recently popped along to the launch of the NUXE Creme Prodigieuse range in Arnotts to learn about the products and how they'll help our skin stay looking young and fresh for longer.
The concept behind the range is to offer skin anti-fatigue moisturising care for women of all ages. NUXE achieve this through the use of three powerful and complementary anti-oxidants (if one fails to work, the others will take over!).
Now, without getting too scientific on you, NUXE believe that oxidative stress is the main cause of premature skin aging and comes about as a result of external and internal aggressors producing a significant amount of free radicals which can cause skin to look tired, dull, inflamed and aged. The 3 active ingredients in NUXE; Blue Everlasting, Blue Agerate and cocoa extract, work together to combat the effects of oxidative stress.
Blue Everlasting flower protects the skin from external stresses like pollution and UV rays and helps it to stay looking radiant and youthful, Blue Agerate protects the skin from internal assaults like fatigue and stress and reduces the appearance of inflammation while cocoa extract protects from premature skin aging caused by oxidative stress.

So, where does Respectissime Volumizing Mascara, La Roche-Posay's newest offering, fit in with our merry band of mascaras?
Well, first off, this is the first waterproof mascara for sensitive eyes meaning that rubbing and scrubbing is kept to a minimum to reduce irritation (As contact lens wearers, we LOVE this!). It is also hypoallergenic, fragranc-free and has a high-tolerance composition. La Roche-Posay say that Respectissime offers the extreme hold usually associated with waterproof mascara while also being easy to remove.
That's what they say so, what do we say?

A little while back, we were delighted to hear that Glossybox are now shipping to the Republic of Ireland. They contacted us offering us a free August box to sample the service, and we accepted. I was a little wary at first as some of the past boxes weren't too well received, but decided to keep an open mind and go for it.
Most of you will be familiar with the concept, but just in case, here's a quick run-through. Glossybox is a subscription service that costs £12.95 per month. For your money, you get five samples of beauty products (one is usually full-sized) packaged in this cute box:
Read on to see what's inside!
I promise, this post isn't going to be as creepy as it sounds. I'm just going to tell you guys what I'm currently using to keep myself clean and presentable! Apologies for the state of the photo, it was taken fairly late last night.
First up is The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub. I love this stuff and will be repurchasing. It's a fantastic scrub and you only need the tiniest amount. The smell is divine and really zingy and refreshing. I know everyone goes on about the Soap & Glory scrub, which I've had before and liked, but I feel this is a bit gentler while still being just as effective.
Next is my new favourite shower gel, Lush It's Raining Men. I missed out on this last year and was delighted to see it back in the shops the other day. I only picked up a small bottle as it foams up incredibly well, but I think I'll still have to buy more! You can also use this as a shampoo, which I did last night, and now my hair smells delish. Success!
My current Lush soap that I have on the go is A Ring of Roses. It's a fairly gentle soap with a delicate rose scent. It's very nice but I doubt I'll buy it again, it's just a little too tame and boring for me.
I love using a nice facial scrub in the shower, and I'm currently using St Ives Olive Scrub. I robbed this off my brother (shhh) and I'm really liking it so far. Must keep using it before he notices ;)
I've been getting some really nice compliments on my hair over the last while, and I honestly think it's all down to the Lush Ultimate Shine Shampoo Bar. It's done absolute wonders for my hair, which is very long with a lot of split ends. It has improved shine (duh) and strengthened it too. I've also found that my hair is really easy to style after using this. Love it.
Finally, the latest addition to my little shower 'family' has been the Revlon Equave Mask for hair. Both Sinéad and I are big fans of their leave-in conditioning spray, so when I saw this in Terrisales, I said I'd give it a go. It has quite a strange texture for a conditioner - kind of gummy and tacky - but it definitely works. I feel like it fortifies my hair quite a bit, which is exactly what I need right now. And at €7, it didn't break the bank!
What are your current shower favourites?

I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking for today's post. This is Angelica glitter layered on top of their neon pink shade, to ensure maximum bling. This probably isn't for everyone, but I love it dearly.
Angelica polishes are €2.75 from Penneys - can't get much better than that!

I wore this look out on Friday night and tried to switch things up just a little. For one thing, I didn't flick out my eyeliner (groundbreaking, I know), and I've also been favouring pink lipsticks over red recently. Thoughts?

The blogosphere has been positively buzzing with talk of the Best in Beaut.ie Awards show for the past week and, yesterday evening, the excitement came to a head in the fancy-pants surrounds of the Dylan Hotel.
As soon as I was sent this tub, I think I knew I'd love it. The idea of a hand 'butter' as opposed to a good old hand cream is a new one of me, but I can tell you that it is definitely a good one.
This has been another great giveaway to run, with a huge amount of entries! Thanks to everyone that entered...and now here's the fun part. Read on to see if you won!

Today's post is a joyful one. I am extremely happy to announce that I have lost my Inglot virginity. On a trip out to visit my auntie in hospital yesterday, I mysteriously ended up in Dundrum en route and subsequently ended up in Inglot with swatches up and down my arms. If money was no object, I could have bought the whole shop, but sadly that was not the case and I settled for this palette:

I still love this lipstick, and probably always will. It can be hard to work with due to the (rather chalky) matte formula, but the colour payoff is so, so worth it. I paired it with a fairly neutral eye using the Smashbox Pro Eyeshadow Palette (Link!).
I was sent this a while back by Beauty Emporium, and I have to say I am loving it. It's not too shimmery and the colours work incredibly well together. If you're looking for a brilliant basic, this is a great (and fairly priced) palette to go for.
Corina Gaffey is one of Ireland's top stylists and is the fashion editor of Stellar and Kiss magazines- yes, both!
She began styling over ten years ago and some of the first shoots she ever styled landed on the front covers of magazines. She is a fan of sequins and hates when people wear leggings as trousers (She's not alone there, eugh!). Oh, and she loves bright lippies, especially those by MAC!
We caught up with Corina to ask her what the fashion industry is really like, her top fashion and beauty tips and what trends we should be looking for to round out our A/W wardrobes.

Do we still like yellow?
Skull Ring from Topman
...well, I know I do. Sally Hansen Yellow Kitty has been a firm favourite of mine all summer, and I was delighted when I spotted this gorgeous Angelica shade in Penneys for only €2.75. It's one of the best budget dupes for Chanel Mimosa that I've seen so far: although it it a little more mustardy, the brightness is still there, especially in the sunlight.
I gave myself a proper manicure for the first time in ages today. My hands were badly in need of some TLC, so I reached for a product that I was sent a while back, but had admittedly been a little confused about. I had never used a cuticle remover before in my life, for fear that I'd end up with raw, sore patches around my nails. I really should have copped on to using this stuff sooner, because my cuticles are usually in bits. I have a foul habit of chewing on the sides of my fingers the odd time, which results in horribly hard skin around that area.
So, needless to say, I'm relieved to have finally made use of this stuff. Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover is easier than I thought it would be to use: you simply squeeze a small amount onto your cuticles, leave for a couple of minutes (up to ten) and then scrape off with the applicator and rinse with water. I also found a nail scrub brush handy for this step.
It left my hands looking a lot more groomed and softer than usual, and because all of my excess cuticles had been removed, applying nail polish was easier than usual and the end result was better - you can look at the pictures above to make up your own mind. Overall, this is the kind of product that isn't exactly on the top of everyone's list, but once you start using it, you won't look back. I like!
Part One of our LUSH Review went down well, so, here's hoping you all enjoy the second installment just as much! We have both also purchased more LUSH goodies ourselves over the past few weeks, so, keep your eyes peeled for more reviews!

...moving home! From the 16th of August, Benefit in Brown Thomas, Dublin will be moving from their corner spot inside the main door to the current location of the Shiseido counter. This is intended to give the customers a bit more privacy and to avoid the overcrowding and heavy traffic that results from being so close to the main door.
And, for the week of the 16th, Benefit will be offering free makeovers to celebrate their move and, there is the (unconfirmed!) possibility that there will be free samples for those who get madeover! You can simply drop in for your makeover or book an appointment by calling the counter directly on (01) 6171139.
