Spoiler Alert! December Glossybox

'Tis the time you either love or hate, the monthly beauty box run down! Glossybox have really outdone themselves in spirit of it being the season of goodwill and giving! The December Glossybox is a veritable feast of beauty products and is worth well over the amount they charge for it!

Before we get into what has been included in this month's festive red box, we just want to address something that has recently come to our attention. There seems to be some confusion over why we (and other bloggers) review monthly beauty boxes or what we get for doing so.

We can only speak for ourselves but, we review them for two reasons; to give readers an idea of the standard of what you receive if you are considering signing up and, also, because we personally love having a nose inside the various beauty boxes bloggers and vloggers receive so, we assume that some of you do too!

In terms of what we get for posting on the monthly boxes (we currently review Glossybox and Carmine), the simple answer is nothing other than the box itself. The brands send us boxes to show you all, if we so choose but, we don't get money or products in return and have never been offered anything like that. We know some UK bloggers work with the brands to produce videos and to create custom boxes etc. but, we have nothing to do with that. Similarly, we are not aware of any surveys or promotions that we could do in order to capitalise on receiving beauty boxes to review!

So, with all that addressed, let's get on with the December Glossybox spoiler for those of you who are interested!

As you can see, everything is beautifully packaged as usual with a welcome festive twist! The box is such a treat with three full-size products and three generous sample sizes!

First up are the products which have had the blogosphere in a tizzy since the contents of the box was revealed; a Deborah Lippmann mini glitter nail polish in Razzle Dazzle and a full-size The Stripper to Go nail polish remover mitt also by Deborah Lippmann! Pretty good, right?!

Next we have a full-size mascara from Nouveau Lashes. It's packaged rather fancily and I'm looking forward to trying it out as it promises a lot!

For skin, we have a mini First Aid Beauty cleanser and a full-size foaming shower gel from Rituals. I've never heard of First Aid Beauty before now but, I'm bringing this paraben-free cleanser with me to London next week!

Finally, another wee make-up treat, a miniture lipgloss from Cargo. I got the shade Serengeti which is a peachy pink with gold in it that, altogether, reminds me of a Fruit Salad sweet!

So, that's the December box! Pretty decent I think! You can still order the December box from the Glossybox website for around €15 including shipping depending on the exchange rate and, if ever there was a good box to sign up to, this would probably be it!

Are you impressed by the Christmas box?

  2. I know this is an old-ish post to be commenting on... just found your site this morning (and really love it).
I really liked the December Glossybox, but the rest of them are leaving me a little bit cold. Apparently March's one will be an upmarkety box, so I wanna check that out, then I might cancel it... :/
