Top 5: Lipsticks
I mentioned in my last Top 5 that the majority of my favourite lipsticks are MAC so, you will have to bear with me on that aspect. Overall, I do think MAC have the best lipsticks overall on the market in terms of choice of colour, texture, longevity and price.
MAC Rebel: This is only a recent acquisition but, one I grab constantly at the moment whether it's for day or night. Rebel is a deep pinked berry shade that is altogether perfect for the Christmas season. Just the right mix of sultry and sweet!
MAC Russian Red: If Christmas had a signature lipstick shade, Russian Red would be it. It's a bright, blue-based red that I think would suit pretty much anyone. It's like the colour of holly berries and Santa hats and has the most amazing long-wearing creamy formulation.
Sleek Pout Paint Pinkini: Yep, so one non-MAC lipstick made the cut! Sleek Pout Paints are absolutely amazing. A tiny bit provides the most opaque coverage which dries to a flattering matte finish and it lasts for hours. Pinkini is a true hot pink that amps up any make-up look. I'm heading to London in December and I plan on scooping up as many of these as I can.
MAC Violetta: There are not enough words in the English language to explain how much I LOVE this lipstick. I picked it up in the PRO store in London and it was recently released with the Fall Collection and it never fails to start a conversation. It's a bright, bright violet shade as the name would suggest and it is just amazing. Sigh...
MAC Plumful: This is my most recent MAC lipstick and my new favourite shade. It's kind of like a more toned down version of Rebel. I wore it for my graduation and got so many compliments on it when I Tweeted a picture. Paired with Plum Lip Liner, also by MAC, it's the most perfect dark neutral lipstick.
What's your favourite lipstick shade? I'm always looking to expand my collection!
