Review: Lush Bûche de Noël Cleanser
Bûche de Noël is part of Lush's limited-edition range of Christmas goodies, which we showed you here. It's basically a festive edition of their most popular cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin, which Sinéad reviewed here back in August.
Bûche de Noël is a traditional delicacy eaten during the festive period in Francophone countries - basically, a yule log, but not in the Cadbury's format that we all know and love! The cleanser has taken inspiration from this treat, which is evident as soon as you take a sniff. It smells like Christmas - my granny's Christmas pudding, to be more specific!
So, what's in it, and what does it do? This stuff may look like a mingin' mess, but it's well worth the fuss. Containing ground almonds, kaolin, satsuma, dried cranberries and almond oil, the formula is meant to gently exfoliate and cleanse without stripping skin of moisture - and that it does.
Because of the kaolin, it is in no way greasy or oily, and leaves skin feeling smooth, refreshed and noticeably soft. I'd recommend this for any skin type, it's a great all-rounder. All this, and it smells like Christmas?! I'm sold, and will be buying another before they are all gone for another year!
