The premise for this collection of three limited edition Artist Powders is the blurred boundaries between art and make-up and how both past and modern artistes influence and inspire make-up looks and trends.
From left to right we have the powders in Street Art Eyeshadow; a graffiti-style, multi-coloured eyeshadow featuring a range of shades, In The Abstract Highlighter; soft pink with yellow gold veining and lavender and darker pink dots, and Optical Bronzer; a bronze with gold pearl and neon pink with gold pearl.
Each powder is priced at €50 which is a fair chunk of change but, they are exceptionally beautiful and unique. If I was to buy one of these, I would do so purely from a collectors point-of-view as opposed to that of using it on a frequent basis and ruining the design.
Posh Paradise is the second collection hitting MAC shelves this October and it is the first collection from the brand in a long while to have us squirming in anticipation!
This collection is chock-a-block with products, all limited edition and all stunningly gorgeous. Eyes, lips and nails are taken care of with eight of the ever-coveted Paint Pots, ten of the long-awaited Mattene Lipsticks (semi-matte, intensely pigmented with a smooth, light formula) and two new and lust-worthy Nail Lacquers.
Paint Pots (€19.00): Treasure Hunt (light pearled yellow), Nubile (light peachy nude), Idyllic (mid-tone copper bronze), Pure Creation (mid-tone frosty blue), Genuine Treasure (reflects antique gold), Half-Wild (mid-tone purple), Hyperviolet (deep violet) and Imaginary (blackened navy).
Mattene Lipsticks (€17.50): Fresh Amour (light lavender), Naked Bliss (neutral light pink), Delectable (orange beige), Rare Exotic (bright mid-tone blue pink), Eden Rouge (bright blue red), Deliciously Forbidden (mid-tone berry), Unknown Pleasures (deep red blue) Legendary (mid-tone brick red), Potent Fig (deep blue grape), Seeds of Desire (deep brown plum).
Nail Lacquers (€12.50): Immortal Gold (pale gold) and Rain of Flowers (blackened violet with violet shimmer).
Does anything from Art of Powder or Posh Paradise take your fancy? Both of us will definitely be getting our hands on Potent Fig Mattene (and probably Rare Exotic and Eden Rouge while we're at it!). The Paint Pots are always worth a look, especially when they are limited and in such unique shades!
