I realised that these two eyeliners were good dupes of each other completely by accident - I had been wearing the Stila and when I went to reapply, reached for the Catrice without thinking!
Read on for a closer comparison of the two.
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray, Catrice Precision Eye Pencil in Wild Thing
So, looking at the packaging first, there's no denying how similar these two are. Both come in a twist-up format, and the lids of both eyeliners are virtually the same colour. On to the swatches:
Not gonna lie, I actually had to go and re-swatch these to remind myself which is which. Stila is to the left, Catrice to the right. The camera hasn't properly picked up the olive tones in these liners - the Stila one is just a little bit more olivey. The shimmer is identical in both swatches and the colour is nearly the exact same.
Formula-wise, both are really smooth to apply, and, although the Stila one claims to be waterproof, there was no difference in wear between the two. You would need to reapply this if you want it to last the entire day. However, it's worth it for the colour (of either) - I wore it this week with a gold/brown smokey eye and it was gorgeous.
I'd recommend either, but, for ease of access in this country and value for money, Catrice is the obvious winner here. Lovely!
